Looking at the level gains over just a few days of training, Mystic became increasingly convinced of one thing, high talent truly gives players an edge, as those with superior talent were levelling up significantly faster than the others, just like Kado Daniels, who jumped from level 1 to level 3, this kind of leap was only possible because of his Epic talent rank.
Others like Chinoso had made some progress by putting in extra effort during personal drills on the pitch, but the returns weren't substantial due to his Common talent, though Mystic noted that he would need to keep up those extra sessions daily just to see modest improvements.

Mystic didn't linger long on the improvement stats and instead shifted his attention to the talent section, just as the system had said, there had been some minor progress in their talent.
However, when he saw the insane number of points Kado needed to push him from Epic to the next talent rank which is legendary, Mystic sighed and dropped the idea of his development to the legendary rank being rushed.
Thankfully, the Common rank players had the lowest thresholds and looked like they would be the first to achieve talent breakthroughs, if they kept up the grind, seeing that he could finally patch up the talent deficiency in his defence which was making him worried as long as the players reached the required amount needed for talent evolution, Mystic felt genuinely pleased.
He had once asked X why every player had a fixed value for talent progression, regardless of talent rank.
And X had replied that the system was the one responsible for raising the talent bar, but the primary driving force behind that progression was the coach, in this case, Mystic himself, who was still a Amateur ranked coach
This reminded him of his current limitation: he was still just an Amateur Rank coach, and if he wanted his players' talent bars to fill up faster, he would have to level up as a coach so he could evolve his rank soon.
As players didn't gain extra benefits just for having a higher-ranked talent in talent progression, instead, the higher the talent rank, the harder it was to progress, that is what made his role even more crucial in all this as only his rank can make them advance faster.

Since Mystic was their coach, he could access their statuses without spending a cent unlike the players of other clubs, and once again, he was reminded of just how important talent was.
Kado, for instance, had an Epic talent rank as a goalkeeper, and Mystic was certain that if any other club had taken the time to nurture him, though it might take a while, however they would've eventually discovered what a gem he was, because talents like that never stay hidden for long.
But street-level clubs only moved for already-established players, no one would have taken a chance on Kado, who a week ago was still a level 1 player, yet, after just a single week of proper training, he had already reached level 3, and his talent was finally starting to shine.
Because Kado was an Epic talent, every time he leveled up, four attribute points were randomly allocated to his stats.
From what Mystic had learned, all human players started with a base stat of five in each attribute, now that Kado had reached level 3, that meant he had gained twelve additional attribute points, bringing his overall power rating to 27.
That was already half of Adekunle's rating ( the striker who left), and Kado wasn't even close to half his level, it was a clear reminder of how powerful talent could be, an almost insurmountable bridge between ordinary and extraordinary.
Then there was Tasty, Mystic's new forward, a Rare talent at level 5.
As a Rare-ranked player, he received three attribute points per level up, totalling fifteen points so far, his overall power rating stood at 30, and his stats were clearly well balanced.
Mystic still didn't fully understand how the stat points were distributed, but X had explained that the system considered the type of training done before a level up to determine which attributes received the boost.
Mystic then smiled, as the progress was still modest, but it was happening, he believed without a doubt that they would eventually reach the heights he was striving for them to reach.
They had the talent, the foundation was being laid by him, with the system's support, now all they needed was real-game experience.
That's why he had requested a match so early: so he could assess his team's weaknesses before they had the chance to grow into bad habits.
Tasty might be the highest-rated player for now, with his 30 power rating, but Mystic knew it wouldn't last.
As Kado's talent ceiling was far higher, in fact, in moments like this, Mystic sometimes wished Kado wasn't a goalkeeper, just so he could unleash his potential more freely in the other aspect of the field, but based on what Mystic had seen him do in his past life, he was certain there wouldn't be another goalkeeper quite like him.
Unaware that their coach had been evaluating their progress behind the scenes, the players all made their way toward the newly upgraded bus that was waiting outside to pick them.
They couldn't believe they had missed such a beauty, the bus was so stunning that they felt someone should have noticed it sooner, but they didn't dwell on it for long, as the driver pressed a button from inside, allowing the sensor-controlled front doors to slide open, allowing the players to step into the spacious interior.
Inside, they placed their bags on the overhead shelves above their seats, it felt almost like boarding a plane, as the players chatted and laughed, letting go of some of the pressure that came with knowing they were about to play a match, as the environment aura of the car calmed them.
Outside, Mystic stood admiring the bus. It was sleek black with subtle red outlines in select areas.
The Dark Elites logo was proudly displayed in the center of both sides and at the front, making it look every bit like a custom-made vehicle for the team, hard to believe it had been a scrap project just days ago.
As he took in the sight, Mystic sensed someone approaching, he turned to the side only to find his uncle standing next to him.
