Kassandra Bold has been trying to figure out her and her daughters life since she got discharged from the hospital. Luckily for her she was told Maria Moore has covered all the hospital bills and as well left some cash for her. She was grateful for her kinds and requested to see Maria but was denied even after several attempts.
With no hope of seeing Maria she took her daughter and left the city which she once believed in and wished to spend the rest of her life but who's she to decide what fate had written about her.
With the thought of living a simple life in a quiet environment she headed for the train station with her daughter.
She had been abused in all ramifications that she has lost hope of living for herself but for her daughter she'll kill any soul that hurts her.
It wasn't until late hours of the next morning that Kassandra Bold arrived at her destination. She was new here, knows no one, got no shelter over their head.
"Mum am hungry" Katrina told her mother, bringing her back from her thoughts.
"Okay dear, let's find something to feel you up" she said to her
"Ms do you care for some hot buns? My mama just made these ones, half a dollar each" said a young boy about same age with Katrina.
The little boys smile warmed Kassandra up and the sweet aroma of the freshly made buns rapped the air around them, she looked towards her daughter who was now ogling at the buns.
"Alright give me four of it" said Kassandra.
"Okay Ms" the young boy quickly rapped up four buns and gave her then took his money.
"Ms if you care for some fresh smoothie my mom makes the best, I can take you there" the little boy told her and she agreed to him. She's actually tired and needed something to cool off in such a sunny day.
"Mom, look my friends needs your signature smoothie" the little boy excitedly told his mom who was busy in the kitchen working on the last pastries.
"Okay, coming dear" the lady said from the kitchen.
"Please seat Ms while you await my mom" the little boy gestured for the duo to a vacant space in his mother's mini shop.
In few minutes a lady in her late thirtys came out holding two glass of smoothie and brought it to Kassandra Bold and her daughter who has almost finished her buns. The lady smiled sweetly at Katrina
"Oh dear, you're sure famished, here you can have some fresh pineapple mixed smoothie" the lady spoke with kindness in her voice to both mother and daughter.
"Thank you for this, how much is it?" Kassandra asked fishing out her purse from her bag.
"It's nothing you can have it for free_ seems you're new here" the shop owner stated looking at Kassandra's boxes.
"Yeah, just arrived but decided to feel ourselves" Kassandra said.
"Anyways am Michelle and you've seen my son Moon, you're welcome to Ms pastries" the shop owner Michelle welcomed them with her bright smile revealing her perfect set of teeth.
"You look more pretty when you smile ma'am" Katrina told her smiling as well
"Kat, manners" her mom reprimanded her but the little girl just shrugged her shoulders.
"Am being fair mom" Katrina said which made Michelle to smile at her cuteness remembering her son who has gone out with more pastries.
"Let her be Ms_" Michelle said
"Ms Kassandra Bold and my_" she was saying but Katrina beat her to it.
"Am Katrina her beloved daughter" Kat said but her mom rolled her eyes while Michelle chuckled at her cuteness.
