Chapter 24: The Original Body Awakens
That night, Hoàng Hải Vân tossed and turned, unable to sleep.
Eventually, she threw off the blanket and walked to the next room.
Her desire to return to her original body was growing stronger and stronger.
Sure, working in a morgue had been dull—but at least it was better than this.
She sat in silence, staring at her own body, which lay there as if in a deep slumber.
Her fingers trembled as she reached out to touch her own face.

She was getting so weak that she could no longer hold her own body up.
Gently, she laid it back down.
Looking at herself, tears poured down her face.
Just then, a hand reached up and wiped away her tears.
A voice spoke softly:
"Why… am I crying?"
Hoàng Hải Vân's heart nearly stopped.
She jerked back in shock, crashing onto the floor.
But oddly enough, her strength came rushing back all at once.
This body had a speed and agility that was almost unnatural.
She could only stare as her original self pushed itself up on both hands.
The person inside her body looked directly at her and said:
"No… this isn't me.
You just look like me."
Then, the body stood up and walked over to the mirror.
It stared at its own reflection.
"What… is this?"
As if trying to confirm something, it slowly unzipped the dress and examined itself in the mirror.
"Could it be… that someone stole my body?
Or maybe… I was turned into a robot?"
It gazed at itself for a long time before murmuring:
"The face is already beautiful… but the body… is even better."
By now, Hoàng Hải Vân had heard enough.
She was sure of it—the person inside her body was Trần Ngọc Linh.
Somehow, their souls had been swapped.
She quickly stood up and yanked the dress back up, covering her own body.
"You need to respect my body," she scolded.
"Don't look at it while it's naked!"
Trần Ngọc Linh turned to face her, eyes narrowing.
"So you're saying…
We switched souls?"
He understood incredibly fast.
Even more surprising—he accepted it calmly.
Hoàng Hải Vân nodded.
"That's right.
From now on, we have to adjust to each other's lives.
We need to set some ground rules."
Trần Ngọc Linh blinked in surprise.
"Rules?"
But within seconds, he dismissed the idea entirely.
"No need.
Do whatever you want."
