Chapter 34 - CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

Ruth locked herself in her room, refusing to believe what was happening to her now. She hasn't talked to her parents yet.

Chesca I am Chesca Daia Fuego. I am not Ruth Dionson. She let out a sigh, realizing that the purpose of this medicine was to erase her memory.

She cried, as if she were just fooling herself; she was beginning to understand why she could see her two siblings and feel their presence; she realized that this was as well for her safety.

Her two deceased siblings had been waiting for a long time because she knew in herself that she was the key to the answers as to why their father had killed them one by one.

Brother Giovane has seen me. Her hands suddenly trembled. She will look for Mikaela.

She wants to talk to her cousin; she admits that she was happy taking advantage of Ruth's identity. Chesca laughed in an opportunistic manner; now, she must face the truth. She will talk to her cousin Jake.

It turns out that what she feels for that teacher isn't really affection; she just has a close bond with that person.

Be strong, Chesca. You need to be strong. She thought to herself.

In Ruth's presence, she found a friend who always cared for her.

Thalia. She pondered the name once more.

Will she believe that I am a child of Fuego? Sister to the two young women who were murdered? Chesca could only smile bitterly at the thought.

Her mind was still too chaotic; she believed that the information entering her mind would help her. She would seek justice for her two siblings.

Even though they are her half-sisters, she didn't feel anything because Ellese and Felisa accepted her wholeheartedly.

They treated her like a real older sister. She immediately grabbed her phone; she only got up when she heard someone knocking on the door of her room.

Chesca opened the door for them.

She saw her becoming a father and mother in the meantime. She is still grateful for their care, treating her like a real daughter.

"Do you remember who you are?" She suddenly asked her.

She no longer needed to hide, so she immediately nodded in response.

"I see." He finally said it.

Mrs. Dionson suddenly hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry; if we didn't tell you what really happened, we need to protect you from that man." She said while looking at her.

"I understand that." She could only say.

"You need to talk to your cousin." His adoptive father said.

Chesca just nodded.

"I will go to them. I need to talk to Mikaela." She could only say.

"Be careful; no one must see you. You should leave as well." She was just surprised by their actions; they gently pulled her by the arm. She was taken to the garage where the driver was waiting.

It seemed the driver knew where they were headed; she was only wearing her pajamas, and the only thing he had with her was her phone.

He hugged her tightly before he entered, and she could see the sadness in her eyes. She gently pushed her aside to let her in.

She looked at her parents when she got inside the car. She looked at the entirety of the mansion; a wave of anxiety gripped her chest at that moment. It seemed like she would never see it again.

Will something happen? Chesca wondered silently. The vehicle immediately started moving, and she noticed its speed, seemingly in a hurry to go wherever it would drop her off.

W ---- What is happening? What's happening? She found herself questioning herself internally. She was holding her phone and wanted to talk to Thalia.

"Driver, driver." She called out to the driver of the vehicle.

He didn't speak, just looked at her in the side mirror.

She feels strange now, wondering why she was troubled by worry when she left the mansion.

She stopped herself; maybe this was just the effect of her current feelings as her memories returned. Her head suddenly hurt again, and she felt dizzy once more.

When she opened her eyes, she was in front of the Fuego mansion. She was not inside the car but outside the mansion.

She stared at its appearance, where she was born, where she felt joy and anxiety when her mother passed away.

Chesca only regained her sanity when she saw a shadow; she recognized its form, her true father, Don Bernard Dante Fuego. When she gazed at her father, she couldn't help but feel scared; their eyes met, but he was looking at something else.

"Where are your four siblings, Giovane?" He asked his companion.

She immediately saw the man; she was traveling back to the past again.

"Ah, there in their favorite place." This was his answer to her father's question.

She looked at Giovane; Chesca estimated that Giovane was only fourteen years old back then. Her father did not answer.

He walked past him then, so she quickly followed him to where they were going.

She suddenly remembered that event; she was going to the basement in the mansion; she was right. She remembered that the four of them were locked in the basement because of her sin.

Her father immediately opened it; Chesca saw herself at eight years old and remembered that her mother had just passed away at that time.

She immersed herself in her true self and reverted to her eight-year-old self.

Felisa hugged her then, and she nestled and hid in the embrace of her sister.

"I hope you have learned from your sins." Her father advised her to reflect on each sin individually.

Chesca is afraid of their eyes.

No one dared to answer them back then. They were afraid that if they responded, their father would once again turn their lives into a living hell.

Chesca suddenly jolted awake; she had fallen asleep. She was still in the car; she caught sight of her cousin's mansion.

"Ma'am, we're here." Said her driver.

She just nodded then. Before she got out of the car, she looked around at the place where she would meet her cousin again.

Before she could get out, a man greeted her at the gate.

"Your cousin is waiting for you, Chesca." She turns to the one who is speaking.

She immediately got off, looked at their driver, and thanked her for safely delivering her to her destination. The driver just nodded at her.

She looked at the man who picked her up at the gate.

"Do you remember everything now, Chesca?" He asked her.

She knows the man who picked her up. She didn't say anything more and just nodded in response.
