Chapter 27 - CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

Finally, her brother has arrived, and she is also about to leave because her class is about to start.

She looked at her brother's room; Jenny wondered why he was acting strangely yesterday, as if he was looking at something. Even though she didn't show it to him, she knew deep down that he was looking at something she couldn't see.

The thought that they, as siblings, have abilities keeps playing in her mind. She just couldn't process that her sibling had abilities just like hers.

"Thalia, I'll leave you here at home for now." Jenny instructed her younger sibling.

Thalia just nodded while washing their dishes. She didn't let her older brother in yet because he was still sleeping.

"Sis, when you have time later, I just have a question for you." Her sister stared at her intently.

She also had something to say to her older brother, so she just nodded in agreement.

"Thank you, take care." That was the only advice from Thalia back then.

Jenny nodded, left their home, and walked for a bit to reach a street where she waited for a jeep to take her to school.

She didn't have to wait long for the jeep; she got on immediately.

What will Thalia and I talk about? Is my older brother included in this? Jenny wondered in her mind; they rarely discussed things as siblings, unless what they were discussing was important.

She is worried about the premonitions she sees; sometimes, she dreams about things that have not yet happened. She is scared because one of her premonitions has already come true.

She scratched her forehead; indeed, a schoolmate of Thalia had died. She didn't want to go to the wake of the murdered child because she would just feel pity; even though it wasn't her fault that the child died, she still blamed herself, thinking if only she had warned Thalia.

Jenny covered her face, wanting to wake up now, because even presently her mind is still in chaos. She hoped that her conversation with Thalia would lighten her feelings.

She saw that she was getting close to the school where she was studying as a college student.

"Stop, please." She immediately said when he was near the school, and she quickly got off and walked towards the gate to enter .

Jenny looked at her watch; there were still a few minutes before she had to go to the classroom. She knew that it was better for her to stay in the library for now; she didn't have anything to study anyway. She just wanted to cool her head and not go crazy with everything that's happening right now.

She looked at the people in the library; she sat quietly, observing.

Jenny also left the library because no matter how much she used to enjoy books, she couldn't focus.

She was strolling so she could answer the question of why the premonition visited her again.

She looked at the time on her wristwatch again; there were still a few minutes before her class would start. She looked around, sitting alone in the corner, people passing by, students laughing, chatting with their friends.

She was at the study table where vehicles owned by his classmates or their professor passed by, quietly entertaining herself so she could also go to her classroom.

Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind that something terrible was going to happen; her mind was telling her to move away from where she was. She stood up then because she felt something unusual.

Jenny saw her premonition of a car crashing where she was sitting, and she was one of the victims.

A little while later, she heard a loud horn and saw the car speeding. People were packing up their things, some were panicking, and in an instant, they heard a deafening crash and were surrounded by dust.

Jenny was like a statue in her place, her legs losing strength because of the accident she witnessed, which could have made her life easier if she hadn't believed in her premonition. She took a seat and observed the individuals scrambling to rescue the victim and the occupant of the car.

She swallowed hard, forced herself to stand, her legs still weak, and tried to walk closer to the railings so she could hold on to them. She walked away from the gathering crowd and the approaching ambulance for the victims of the accident she never expected.

She had moved away from the scene, closed her eyes, calmed her fear, pinched her cheeks, and swallowed hard, and her muscles were still trembling from what she had witnessed.

She walked, and the people around her were alarmed because of the accident caused. Even after she had gone into her room, she could still clearly hear the siren of the ambulance.

"----Nny,"

"Jenny, Jenny!"

She just looked at the one calling her name; Saia's worried face immediately greeted her.

Jenny didn't speak then.

"What happened to you?" Her classmate asked her in surprise.

"There was an accident."

She looked at her meaningfully.

"Accident?" Her classmate, perplexed by her actions, questioned her.

"Yes, just now, there was an accident." Jenny wonders who she is talking to.

"Are you really okay, Jenny?" She asked, her brow furrowing even more.

"Is it true—" it suddenly sank in her mind that the premonition and the collision she saw were her ability, that what she witnessed was yet to happen.

Why does it feel so real—so real? Why was I there at the scene? She found herself questioning in her mind.

She sat down and didn't answer Saia anymore; she rubbed her temples.

"Whoa." Saia looked at her with a meaningful glance.

Saia showed a picture. "It just happened; before you arrived here, a car crashed."

In the picture, that's precisely what she saw earlier.

"How do you know?" Saia asked in surprise.

Jenny didn't answer and remained silent. She could hear the loud sirens of the ambulance, and she saw the other teachers and students in chaos due to the commotion. She wanted to skip, but Jenny resisted, her hands trembling.

Her classmate had stopped bothering her but looked at her with a meaningful glance. She avoids using her ability because she wants her life to be normal.
