Chapter 33 - CHAPTER 33

3500 LP Left!

"[Vampire Grace], rise from the depths and greet your mistress!!"

"Ha ha ha...!"

With a dramatic flourish of her hand, Camula's lips curled into a twisted grin.

Her tongue extended unnaturally like a serpent's, flanked by a pair of gleaming fangs—eerily pale, haunting, and sinister to behold.

Then, in a gust of dark wind, a pale, regal vampire descended onto the field—draped in ornate gothic attire, a scepter in her hand, and an unsettling smile carved onto her face.

[Vampire Grace]

Camula's vampire kingdom is assembling.

Her crimson gaze sharpened—fixated on You Feng like a hunter zeroing in on prey.

She let her tongue glide out with a wet hiss and said mockingly:

"[Vampire Grace]'s effect activates! Once per turn, declare Monster, Spell, or Trap—your opponent sends one of the declared type from the Deck to the Graveyard!"

"I declare... Spell Card!"

Camula smirked.

Most duelists would hesitate to dump monsters so early. Magic and traps were easier to spare.

But You Feng? He didn't flinch.

Whether it was spells, traps, or monsters—his deck was built to thrive in any graveyard game.

His Monarchs never feared the grave—they welcomed it.

"Thanks."

With a calm grin, You Feng selected a spell card and slid it into the grave.

"Thanks?" Camula frowned slightly.

But she dismissed his strange politeness.

What mattered was pressure—power—and she had plenty to apply.

"You'll regret thanking me when my vampire legion takes form. You won't even see the nightfall!"

"I set the last two cards from my hand facedown and end my turn."

Camula's vampire setup had teeth. You Feng knew it couldn't be taken lightly.

Still, her deck had flaws—it relied on tempo and setups. One wrong step, and she'd crumble.

"My turn! Draw!"

You Feng drew his card with a flick, his eyes quickly analyzing the now six cards in his grip.

He glanced at Camula, already plotting his counterstrike.

"First, I activate the Continuous Spell from my hand—[March of the Monarchs]!"

You Feng revealed the card and slammed it onto the field.

"[March of the Monarchs]?"

Camula's eyes narrowed.

"Reveal Trap! [Vampire Domination]—a Counter Trap!"

"If I control a 'Vampire' monster, I can negate a Spell, Trap, or monster effect and destroy it! If that card was a monster, I also recover LP equal to its original ATK!"

She knew what [March of the Monarchs] meant. A field full of Monarchs immune to targeting or destruction by card effects.

Too dangerous. It had to be neutralized now.

"You planned for that, huh?"

You Feng didn't flinch. His card got destroyed, but his smirk remained.

"No problem—I activate [Reinforcement of the Army]!"

"I search my deck for a Level 4 or lower Warrior monster and add it to my hand."

The deck glowed. You Feng pulled a card from it smoothly.

"I add [Edea the Heavenly Squire] to my hand!"

Sho Marufuji's eyes widened from the sideline.

"That's it! He baited her into using [Vampire Domination] early!"

"Now her field's vulnerable to his summons!"

"He knows vampires like the back of his hand," Asuka Tenjoin added, arms behind her back.

"This guy… must've faced them many times."

Ryo Marufuji nodded.

What they didn't know: You Feng had dueled vampires hundreds of times on Duel Links and YGOPro—those reps mattered.

He knew the deck inside and out.

One common strategy: mill your own deck to fuel [Vampire Kingdom] and destroy key cards.

But Camula's board only had a single backrow left. The threat was minimized.

"I summon—[Edea the Heavenly Squire]!"

A card swung onto his Duel Disk. A shimmer of light birthed a silver-armored warrior with a flowing cape and steady resolve.

[Edea the Heavenly Squire]

LIGHT / Level 1 / Warrior

ATK: 800 / DEF: 1000

"[Edea]'s effect activates on summon!"

"I Special Summon one monster from my deck with 800 ATK and 1000 DEF, other than [Edea]—in Defense Position!"

"I summon [Eidos the Underworld Squire]!"

Another flash lit the field. A robed squire appeared beside Edea, shadows curling at her feet.

[Eidos the Underworld Squire]

DARK / Level 2 / Spellcaster

ATK: 800 / DEF: 1000

Two pieces of the puzzle now stood ready.

Camula scoffed.

"All those weaklings... what can they do?"

You Feng's eyes flashed.

"Monarchs are never weak."

"[Eidos]'s effect activates—this turn, I gain an additional Tribute Summon."

His voice dropped into finality.

"I activate my Quick-Play Spell—[The Monarchs Stormforth]!"

"The ritual is ready. The stage is set."

"This turn, I can Tribute a monster your side of the field controls instead of my own."

Camula's eyes widened.

"What!?"

You Feng's voice was steel.

"I Tribute your [Vampire Grace]… to Tribute Summon [Ehther the Heavenly Monarch]!"

"Since [Vampire Grace] was Tribute Summoned, she counts as one Tribute."

"That's why... I thanked you."

He revealed the card and summoned it with force.

[Ehther the Heavenly Monarch]

LIGHT / Level 8 / Fairy

ATK: 2800 / DEF: 1000

Camula's face twisted in disbelief.

"Impossible! You planned everything... from the start?"

All her traps, her field, her vampire tactics—they were turned against her in a single, perfect turn.

You Feng stood calm.

Silent.

Commanding.

And deadly.
