Turning quickly, her eyes narrowed.
A group of Duel Academy students stood at the threshold.

"No worries. She's still breathing… for now," Camula smirked, revealing her vampire fangs.
"Anzu!" shouted Yugi Mutou, stepping forward with rage in his voice.
"Let her go—NOW!"
Jounouchi Katsuya clenched his fists. "You've messed with the wrong people!"
"If you want her released, win her back through a Shadow Game," Camula sneered.
"And I'm not alone," she added.
From the shadows emerged another figure—a man in a black cloak and a smooth white mask.
"I've waited long enough. Is it finally time?" the man spoke in a low, cold voice.

"Let's go—one-on-one Shadow Duels!" Camula said, lips curling.
"I'll be your opponent!" You Feng stepped forward, readying his God-Card Duel Disk.
He couldn't risk anyone else going up against a vampire.
"Yugi—deal with the other one!" he shouted.
"Got it. Let's take them down fast and free Anzu!" Atem nodded.
The sides were set.

"This is going to be intense…" Daichi Misawa said gravely.
"The Seven Stars are more dangerous than we imagined."
A familiar voice joined the group. Asuka turned. "Ryo?"
Marufuji Ryo appeared, helping along a weakened Judai Yuki.
"Big bro?! What happened?" Sho gasped and ran to him.
"Judai faced another Seven Stars member. He won… but the hypnotic duel drained him completely."
"He'll recover," Ryo said calmly.
"So Judai already encountered them…" Asuka's voice tightened.
"The Seven Stars are attacking all at once."
"Ryo, you're here—why aren't you dueling?" Asuka asked sharply. "You're ranked 37 on the global list! Yugi was 41 last time I checked. Shouldn't you take over for safety's sake?"
Ryo shook his head. "This isn't the same Yugi. He's… transformed. That aura—his strength must be off the charts."
That comment silenced everyone.
Ryo had acknowledged someone's power without hesitation.
