After waiting for a bit, still amazed at how much power Jin possessed, Roi approached Jin from behind and spoke up.
Hey That ability is really strong .
While saying that, a hint of jealousy seeped into Roi's words.
Jin flinched and looked back. Then the weariness from Jin's face went away. Then Jin started smiling and spoke up.
Yeah this ability is truly amazing. I can control Void and use it as I desire. I don't think we have to worry about the other Challangers now. We can oblige them easily with the help of my new ability.
Roi nodded and made a point about how strong Jin's ability seemed, then invited Jin to come to Roi's house in the {trial}.
That's when Jin remembered about his own wife and daughter.Butt since Jin had no emotional connection to them, he just accepted Roi's invitation.
While Jin was walking with Roi, he asked what attributes the smile had.
Roi smiled and said
I actually have three of it. they are [Blue slime] , [possess] and finally [Bondman of wraith].
Jin froze for a moment, wondering why he had differed [bondman] trait. Then continued to follow the slime.
Roi led him trough the village. There were lanterns placed near the pathways of village so that people could see where they were going. Jin wass slowly walking, while looking at the surroundings in awe. Palewood was a total slum and always stank, and garbage could be seen everywhere. But this "godless village" was completely different. It had almost no garbage or any waste at all. After a while, Jin looked at the sky. It was full of stars, and he finally understood why some people describe the sky as a "starry sky". In palewood, due to the high amount of air pollution, at night, no stars were visible. Hell, even the breathing air in "godless village" was very good. It felt fresh and clean.
After walking for a long time, Roi finally reached his house. Jin went inside, too. It looked like a house belonging to a maniac, because the role that was given to Roi to imitate was that of a crude hunter who didn't care about cleaning things up.
Roi just cleaned things up quickly and gave Jin a space to sit near a table.
Roi brought out a bit of monster meat from the ice box and put it on top of the bonfire and started making a fire.
After a few minutes, fire was successfully lit and
Roi sat near Jin.
Roi was able make fire easily because he was a slime. He just used his slimey hand to make the fire.
Then jin realsed just how convenient being a slime was, because he could just transform into anything he wanted just without any change in color
Roi was in a vague humanoid shape right now and he also had a mouth.
After sitting near Jin, Roi started speaking
so..Jin I assume you got the trait [Bondman of wraith]?
Jin sat there , expressionless. Becasue he know what happened before when the slime had seen his expression. The slime was able to understand other creatures emotions well.
uh.. yeah I definatly got that.
yeah that's good.- Roi replied and continued to speak
So, my friend lets make a plan for tomorrow. because we are going to find the other challengers and .. Unite with them.
Jin smiled and said
yes I cannot wait to end this trial. And go back to earth
at the mention of going back to where they came from. Roi's face darkened.
hmm yeah I am also excited to be going back to my planet.
Jin could sense the tone of the conversation changing and Roi's face darkening, So Jin tried to change the subject.
yeah.. Roi, can you believe I have a wife and kid in this {trial}?
After hearing that, Roi laughed... a Bit.
He laughed, but it didn't seem like one which was natural. It was as if he was forcing himself to laugh.
Finaly jin couldn't take it anymore.
So whats wrong with you? why are you acting like this?
Roi's smile faltered..
Yeah.. wife and kids.. i had it too.. but they were killed by monsters..while I had to stand and watch it because I was too weak to change anything.
While saying that, a small drop of smile fell from the slime's face. It seemed like he was crying, but at the same time not.
Jin tried to console
Then he got up and sat near Roi and gave him a hug.
Roi wiped away what seemed like tears and then smiled -it looked like one- yeah I should forget about what happened in the past.
Jin was happy that he was able to console Roi.
Then a faint smell of burning reached Jin's nose.
Jin immediately turned to the meat and saw it burning. He rushed to take it from the top of the fire.
Jin grabbed the meat with the help of bone which was stuck into it and put it on a plate and brought it to the table.
Roi was just sitting sitting there, probably lamenting the grief of losing the people close to him.
jin pushed the plate towards Roi.
Roi said
I don't need it. As a slime, I don't really have to eat anything. I actually brought it out for you to eat.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Jin just took the plate and started eating the meat.
It tasted really good, compared to what was normally available to him.
Jin felt bad for Roi, but still continued to focus on eating the monster meat.
After Jin completed eating. He looked at Roi.
Roi was tired. So he got up, transformed back into the ferocious hunter. After the blue sparkling light envoloped Roi's body, His transformation had been completed and Roi looked like a real human now.
Jin also used his system to begin transforming into the farmer.
His own body was envoloped in blue sparkling light and it had been transformed into the farmer.
But there was an issue Jim's right arm, which was the [void arm] did not transform.
Jin wanted to cover it up with something.
So Jin started going through the hunters belongings to find something.
After searching for a long time, he finally found some bandages.
He tried to use it to cover his arm, which worked wonderfully.
Well now Jin looked like a cripple. A cripple which had a good, buff body.
So Jin made a mental note for himself to start exercising after he returned from the trial.
After that, in a bednearby, Jin went to sleep.
He slept instantly because of how tired he was.
He woke up after a good night's rest.
Then he glanced at Roi who was still asleep.
Suddenly a system message appeared.
[Tier-9 wolffrawn is being released at the center of [Godless Town] in 2 hours.]
