After Roi told Jin that he could gain an ability before completing the trial by performing a ritual, Jin eagerly began following the slime's instructions.
At first, Jin cut his hand using a nearby broken mirror. He winced in pain. Then he took his hand and started drawing weird symbols on the ground using his blood. It looked like demonic symbols - it also probably was- after a bit more drawing, the blood in his hand had already dried up, so, -while trembling due to the pain of his finger being cut- Jin had to cut it once more to continue drawing. Jin had a bad feeling about this.
Before continuing, Jin turned and looked at Roi.
Roi nodded, prompting Jin to continue the ritual.
Jin continued to draw a bit more. Then, finally, the drawing was complete. It didn't look anything like a drawing; it looked more like a Madman had threw blood all over the area. A madman who didn't have even an ounce of humanity left.
Suddenly, all of the blood started coming together into a sphere. It began to glow blindingly red. Jin suddenly fell to his knees. It just kept on getting more and more blindingly brighter. Then, suddenly, it started to turn into a thin line and went inside Jin.
Jin gasped, almost losing consciousness instantly. He was barely able to keep his eyes open. Suddenly, a screen appeared in front of his face. Jin had to instinctively close his eyes. Because he didn't close it soon enough, blood started leaking out from his eyes. There was unimaginable pain coursing through his body. All external sounds became a blur. One after another, all of his senses were blocked off. In the end, all that remained was Jin's consciousness and pain. So much pain that it felt as if all the bones in his body had been broken, then healed, broken again. The cycle continues to repeat again and again.
Suddenly, a screen from the system appeared inside his mind.

it was absolute gibberish.
Jin had to endure this pain for what felt like an eternity. He felt as if there was only one thing constant. It was Pain.
Then, after a lot of time, Jin's pain subsided, and he was able to open his eye.s All he saw was darkness. When he started the ritual, it was the time of evening. Now it was Night, which was full of darkness.
Jin wasn't even able to remember what happened clearly. He opened the system and started to look through it, told-

After reading that, Jin's eyes widened. He had unlocked a New stat. That being Void affinity, he wondered what his new stat could help him achieve. But without waiting, he continued looking, he was also a bit happy that he was able to get something to defend himself. But whether it was worth all the pain and suffering he had gone through, he didn't know.

Jin's face paled after reading the second trait. He hateed the prospect of being a slave to someone. He wanted to be free, which he thought he would be after the trial, oh, how wrong he was. Jin understood that he would be nothing more than a pathetic little slave now. His joy of seeing the first trait was destroyed. But he understood that the {demon} or whatever it was, didn't have absolute control over him, because of the wording used by the system. Jin continued to read.

After reading about his abilities, His mood had turned into ecstatic, because he couldn't stop thinking about how good his ability was. It could be used while fighting against any person or creature. He was happy that he was finally able put up a fight against the monsters who were his opponents.
He stared at his right arm for a while, then he tried to turn his finger's edges sharper but instants, it felt as if his flesh itself was moving and rearranging itself. The pain was instantaneous and unbearable. He screamed out loud. His fingers continued to change their shape finally stopped after his fingers had become sharp. So sharp, infact that he felt that he would be able to cut steel without any problem.
But why did it hurt? It was supposed to be his Ability, it wasn't supposed to hurt. He had seen the slime effortlessly use his ability, so why was he an exception? Jin grimaced.
He finally walked out of the alleyway an walked closer to a tree. The tree was large and magnificent. Jin gently ran his fingers across the tree it went as if it met no resistance.suddenly he saw a large, ugly mark spread across the tree.
He was amazed by how powerful his fingers had become.
Jin instinctively clentched his fist while In awe. He grimaced in pain because his fingers touched against his void arm.
it hurt alot.
Jin let out a low moan and spread his fingers. he would never keep them close together again. next, he wanted to test his ability to absorb void.
he put his hand against the tree he had just cut. he was able to feel the void within the intermolecular spaces of the matter constituting the tree. After waiting for a while, he finally started absorbing the void. The after about a minute, a system message had appeared

he had filled his heart with void and now he would be able to use it as he pleased.
he started to try something. he brought out the void from his heart, to his hand and then a blob of void could be seen coming from his hand. it started twisting, then suddenly it was launched at high speed from his hand towards the tree.
This time, the tree didnt escape with just a minor cut, but it was blown off completely. and he saw a message showing

After seeing the sheer amount of power he possessed, he mumbled
"now the only one who will be feeling fear is my enemies."
