Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Unlocking New Units

Building a farmhouse requires 200 Gold Coins and two hundred units of wood, and these conditions were quickly met.

A farmhouse, the same size as the lumberyard, rose on the territory.

Due to the lumberyard's effect, the speed of wood acquisition has caught up with the speed of acquiring Gold Coins.

In addition to being used for construction and upgrading buildings, wood is also used in some military units, such as the Catapult or Arrow Array Vehicle.

In the later stages, the role of Gold Coins exceeds that of wood, but Gold Coins can also be obtained by killing the Demon Race.

These two basic materials can relatively achieve stability.

After the farmhouse was completed, the amount of food increased to 40, an increase of 20 points. The food portions in the territory are enough to nurture more military units, even Beastman Soldiers who consume three portions of food daily can now summon six more.

Rosen was not content with summoning only Beastman Soldiers; he set his sights on the second category of military units.

That would be the Beastman Archer.

A profession of ranged attack.

This way, targets can be killed from a distance, avoiding the dangers of close combat.

Let the Beastman Soldiers take the position of meat shield; Rosen can use invincible abilities to hold up, along with his hero's defense and health, which is enough to hold off a group of Dog-headed Demons.

Then, let the Beastman Archer kill the Dog-headed Demons from afar.

Once he had enough Gold Coins, Rosen spent 500 Gold Coins to unlock the Beastman Archer.

The third troop position is the Beastman Wizard, which is currently gray and not unlocked; it requires 1000 Gold Coins to unlock.

Rosen first felt the frustration of not having Gold Coins.

"Now is the newbie protection period; the world channel for lords has not been opened, and many strategies cannot be obtained."

Rosen opened the school's chat group, flipped through the chat records, trying to find some useful information.

"I heard someone at our school awakened a D-level hero template; it's too funny, it's like a scorpion's poop, one of a kind!"

"Now the internet is laughing at the guy who awakened the D-level template; the situation escalated, and our school also got embarrassed. Last month, the principal was forced by pressure to publicly declare on the internet that the student has been encouraged to leave, preventing further discussions about the school."

After flipping through a few messages, all related to him, Rosen also knew that the internet was now discussing the student with the D-level template, it's just boredom that causes this.

Sending them a few Dog-headed Demons to play with might cure their boredom.

Rosen continued to flip down and found someone discussing Tang Xichen.

"I heard after the massive assassination of A-level heroes in the priority class, the principal directly spent a huge sum to invite numerous experts for protection—our school's beauty Tang Xichen has as many as twenty bodyguards around her, while other S-levels only have five bodyguards, and for A-levels, only one bodyguard."

"Where does the school get the huge sum, isn't it Tang Xichen's dad's investment?"

Rosen flipped down again and finally found some useful information.

"All awakened territories of this batch, let's bubble up; everyone awakened their territories at the same time, the newbie protection period is almost over, anyone find the speed of acquiring Gold Coins quite slow?"

"Indeed slow, but why do you have Gold Coins? Mine is US Dollars."

"Could the resource types of different territories be different? Mine is World of Warcraft territory, initial gold mine, and workers mine Gold Coins."

"Mine is different, I have a basic bank building that produces 10 US Dollars every minute."

Seeing the chat records, Rosen realized that the currency in different types of territories is different.

For example, some territories are set in a Western world background, so the world currency is US Dollar. In a Curse World background, the currency is yen.

In World of Warcraft-like world backgrounds, most often it's Gold Coins or Crystal Stone kinds of things.

Rosen also found a way to speed up the acquisition of Gold Coins as he wished.

This was shared by a senior after the intense discussion among classmates.

No matter what world background the territory is in, you can speed up production buildings by purchasing a time accelerator.

But the time accelerator will additionally increase the consumption of energy, doubling the original rate of energy consumption by buildings.

Once the energy is exhausted and not replenished in time, all buildings within the territory will lose functionality.

Rosen searched the Lord Mall and indeed found the [Time Accelerator], priced at 30 Lord Coins.

Rosen happened to have 30 Lord Coins on hand, equivalent to 3000 RMB.

After a moment of hesitation, Rosen still exchanged for a time accelerator.

Installing the time accelerator on the gold mine, it was evidently noticeable that the workers' time was accelerated, and the rate of gold mining doubled!

At the same time, the growth rate of Gold Coins also doubled.

Checking the energy attribute: 13/20.

The energy consumption was also fast, needing urgent replenishment using Energy Crystal Stones.

The Lord Mall also sells Energy Crystal Stones, each one can replenish one energy point, priced at one Lord Coin.

Rosen needs to quickly obtain more Lord Coins or get Energy Crystal Stones dropped from the Demon Race, otherwise, the territory will soon shut down.

At that time, all protection will be lost.

Rosen used up the remaining Gold Coins to summon Beastman Soldiers and Beastman Archers, summoning a total of five Beastman Soldiers and three Beastman Archers.

Now the speed of collecting Gold Coins has doubled and is no longer a problem; instead, energy issues are now on the agenda.

Leading five Beastman Soldiers and three Beastman Archers, Rosen set off again.

At half a kilometer distance, Rosen discovered three Minotaur Warriors resting in the bushes.

Beside them, on the ground, was the corpse of a Beastman Soldier that had been gnawed clean.

It was confirmed that the Beastman Soldier, who failed to return to the main city last night, was intercepted and killed by these three Minotaur Warriors.

Rosen's five Beastman Soldiers also felt anger, looking at their companion's corpse, and wanted to go up and finish off the three sleeping Minotaur Warriors.

Rosen signaled them with a gesture to not act rashly, then had Beastman Archers aim at the Minotaur Warriors and shoot arrows.

Swish, swish, swish!

Arrows flew through the air, accurately hitting the sleeping Minotaur Warriors.

"Roar!"

The Minotaur Warriors woke up startled from their dreams, jumped up from the ground, and looked around, failing to locate the enemy for a moment.

It was at this moment that densely packed arrows rained down from above.

The Minotaur Warriors finally confirmed the location of their target, but by then one had already been shot dead by the arrows.

The remaining two frantically charged towards Rosen.

Swish, swish, swish!

A large number of arrows fell from the sky again, another one died on the spot.

Only then did Rosen signal the Beastman Soldiers to charge.

Five Beastman Soldiers held up their shields and charged, wielding their battle axes, furiously attacking the last remaining Minotaur Warrior.

One of the Beastman Soldiers was hit vitally and instantly sent flying, although not dead immediately, it was in a critical state.

The Minotaur Warrior seemed to have activated some skill just now, enabling such a powerful burst.

But at this moment, the third round of arrows rained down from the sky.

The skill-activating Minotaur Warrior didn't have an impenetrable cover; it was eliminated on the spot.

Rosen witnessed the might of the Beastman Archer.

As long as there's a small group attacking the same target from afar simultaneously, no matter how thick the soldier's health, it won't withstand two blows.

Clearing the battlefield, he harvested 15 Lord Coins, 35 Gold Coins, and polished out a bracelet from the corpse.

This bracelet being dropped indicates it's a magical item.

[Frenzy Bracelet: Equipped on the wrist, triggers a frenzy state every 5 seconds, delivering a Critical Strike and knocking back small soldiers.]

This is a knockback-effect bracelet, which Rosen immediately equipped on his wrist.

In future encounters with highly offensive melee soldiers, this bracelet could come in handy and save his life.

He opened the school chat to check the latest messages.

He wanted to confirm his current situation among students of the same year, whether he was too lagged behind.

After all, he awakened his territory a month late.

Unexpectedly, everyone was complaining about how difficult it was to kill the Demon Race within their territories, and their newly dispatched troops had been wiped out by a horde of Dog-headed Demons.

Some even said Dog-headed Demons invaded their territory and damaged the defense facilities beyond repair.

Some couldn't even survive the seven-day protection period.

And among those complaining, many had awakened with A-level templates, even S-level.

Rosen saw this and couldn't help but chuckle.

Though his hands aren't yet at the level of forming an army, dealing with a pack of Dog-headed Demons is incredibly easy.

On one hand, Rosen's hero attack power is far superior to the average A-level; on the other hand, strategy is also crucial.

Confrontation isn't the best tactic, but many new lords haven't realized this yet.

Rosen closed the phone chat, exchanging Lord Coins for Energy Crystal Stones, replenishing the energy value to 20.

He found that during his outing, Gold Coins had reached 1000, enough to unlock a new military unit.

So he clicked on the Beastman Wizard in the unit list and successfully unlocked it.

"In the future, battles outside will be safer; with the healing magic of the Beastman Wizard, I have more courage for adventure."
