c50: Super Dragon Ball
In the blink of an eye, another half a year had passed.
What was initially meant to be a brief honeymoon had turned into six months of exploration. Li Xu and Bulma traveled across the globe from the icy caps of Mount Paozu to the lush jungles of the Karin Sanctuary, even taking a dive near the ruins of Jingle Village. The two had indulged in the wonders of Earth's most scenic locations, thoroughly enjoying their time together.
"Bulma, is the Universe spaceship Goku asked for ready?" Li Xu inquired while adjusting the gravity dial in their Capsule Corporation cruiser.
"Mhm, I had it delivered to Goku a few days ago," Bulma nodded. "It's equipped with upgraded quantum stabilizers and Saiyan-class environmental resistance. He can survive wormholes now."
Constructing a spaceship for intergalactic travel was no challenge for the genius inventor. Having previously modified Namekian tech and reverse-engineered the architecture of Jaco's Galactic Patrol craft, Bulma was now more than capable.
"What about the Super Dragon Ball radar?" Li Xu asked next, raising an eyebrow.
"If you're referring to tracking the Super Dragon Balls using the same frequency modulation that works on Earth's Dragon Balls, then yes, it's done," Bulma said, tapping her Scouter-glasses interface. "I synced it with GodTube's universal positioning data and expanded the detection field using Galactic King's navigation grid."
"You're a genius," Li Xu praised sincerely.
Constructing a radar capable of tracking planet-sized orbs scattered across multiple universes was an astronomical feat. Even Dr. Brief wouldn't attempt such a task. But Bulma had pulled it off within months an achievement few across the twelve universes could match.
"Of course!" Bulma said, folding her arms with pride.
"That means we're finally set to head into the universe and begin the search for the Super Dragon Balls," Li Xu declared with anticipation.
Having remained on Earth for such a long time, he felt his Saiyan blood stir. The last universe trip had only scratched the surface of what was out there now, with Super Shenron as the prize, the real journey could begin.
"Honey, there's something I've been meaning to talk to you about," Bulma said hesitantly, walking beside him in the Capsule Corp gravity garden.
"What is it?" Li Xu asked, slowing his pace.
"When I had the spacecraft delivered to Goku, I contacted him. Chichi answered. She's pregnant," Bulma said with soft eyes. "It made me think… maybe I want a child too."
"Bulma," Li Xu said gently, wrapping an arm around her waist, "that's something we can definitely talk about after we return. I'd like to wait just a bit longer."
In truth, Li Xu had subtly been using ki control to avoid conception. Though their bodies were perfectly compatible, and Bulma had already been enhanced with modified Senzu cellular therapy, he'd intentionally delayed starting a family. There was still so much of the cosmos he wanted to explore and bringing a child into battle-prone environments was not ideal.
"Mmm, alright," Bulma nodded, snuggling closer.
---
Half a month later
In the vastness of space, far beyond Earth's orbit, their Universe-class spacecraft built with Namekian-core shielding and God-Key resonance sped through star clusters with ease.
"Bulma, turn on the Super Dragon Ball radar," Li Xu instructed, peering out at a red giant ahead.
Beep. Whirr.
Bulma's holographic interface flickered to life. "We've got a signal," she said, eyebrows furrowed. "But there are only three pings on the radar?"
"That makes sense," Li Xu explained. "The Super Dragon Balls are split across Universe 6 and Universe 7. We're in Universe 7 so the other four are in Universe 6."
"So… there are other universes?" Bulma asked in awe, eyes widening. "Besides ours?"
"There are twelve in total," Li Xu said, recalling Whis's explanations. "Each universe is paired with another. Ours is paired with Universe 6. There are also parallel counterparts in each pairing."
"Our universe is already so huge," Bulma said, amazed. "And there are eleven more just as vast?"
Li Xu smirked. He hadn't even touched on the existence of alternate timelines or the fact that the Omni-King, Zeno, could erase all of them with a wave of his hand. That revelation could wait.
"Scan which Super Dragon Ball is closest to our current coordinates," Li Xu said.
"On it!" Bulma replied, activating the ship's AI.
Bulma made a quick calculation, then said: "The nearest one is in the Northern Galaxy, but it's not particularly close right now. Based on the Universe spacecraft's current speed Mach 200,000 it'll take about two months to reach."
"It doesn't matter if it takes longer. Let's set out now." Li Xu replied.
"Hmm." Bulma nodded.
In truth, Li Xu could have used Instant Transmission like Son Goku to teleport directly, but that would defeat the purpose. He wasn't just retrieving the Super Dragon Balls; this journey was a cultivation experience. The value lay in the process, not merely the result.
Bulma piloted the Universe spaceship, equipped with Gravity Simulation and Capsule Corp's advanced shielding system, while Li Xu headed to the built-in gravity chamber for training.

Even though he had spent most of the past half-year traveling the Earth with Bulma visiting sacred sites like Korin Tower, the Lookout, and scenic places such as Mount Paozu his combat power still rose by a million, largely thanks to his auto-training plug-in.
Moreover, he had recently awakened a second universal law: the Law of Space.
This law had awakened while he practiced Goku's Instant Transmission, which functions by locking onto ki signatures across vast distances. Through repeated usage and mental focus, he managed to break through into a primitive understanding of space itself.
But cultivating two laws simultaneously halved the speed of each. Still, with the Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline enhancing his adaptability and recovery, even 50% efficiency was powerful. In just over two months, he had reached 2% mastery a feat that had originally taken a full year for his Force Law to achieve.
The biggest improvement? His Instant Transmission had evolved. Now, much like the Supreme Kai's teleportation, he could bypass the limitation of requiring a ki signature as a beacon, allowing travel to remote or even uninhabited planets.
Yet he knew the Law of Space held more potential possibly involving teleportation arrays, dimensional travel, or even time dilation but these applications would require deeper cultivation.
"If I don't train hard, Son Goku might really surpass me." Li Xu sighed. With his earlier encouragement and interventions, Goku was working far harder than he did in the original timeline.
He then adjusted the training room's gravity to 400 times Earth's, similar to the conditions Vegeta used in the manga before the Namek Saga, and resumed his intense routine of body-refining and law comprehension.
...
Before long, two more months passed.
The spaceship continued its warp cruise through the cosmos. The Universe was anything but peaceful they encountered rogue alien factions, including a gang resembling the Frieza Force remnants. But none could challenge Li Xu. Every group was annihilated in seconds, further reinforcing Bulma's awe in her husband's strength.
One day, as Li Xu meditated under pressure-enhanced gravity, Bulma rushed into the training chamber. "Hubby! I've located a Super Dragon Ball!"
Li Xu immediately stood. "Where is it?"
"Come with me!" Bulma exclaimed, grabbing his arm and leading him to the control deck.
"There!"
Through the front window, he saw it a massive golden-orange orb floating in the vacuum, glimmering with the glow of distant suns. Even from afar, the immense red star embedded in the center was unmistakable.
"It's a planet-sized Dragon Ball!" Li Xu murmured. Though he had read the descriptions each Super Dragon Ball is roughly 37,196.2204 kilometers in diameter, identical to the size of the entire Namekian Planet in Universe 6 seeing one with his own eyes was overwhelming.
"Husband, how do we even take a Dragon Ball this massive?" Bulma asked, wide-eyed.
"This is definitely tricky." Li Xu frowned deeply.
Though physically strong enough to move moons Saiyans had casually destroyed them transporting an entire Super Dragon Ball across intergalactic space was no small feat. Besides, it wasn't just about brute strength. Navigating and preserving something this massive presented real logistical problems.
"Bulma, can we shrink it using Capsule Corp's universal capsule compression technology?" Li Xu asked.
"I'm not sure. No one's ever tried capturing a celestial object this large... but it's worth attempting!" Bulma replied with a determined gleam in her eye.
