Lu Ting Cheng felt even more guilty seeing her momma cry like that, he was very regretful of what he did, "...We didn't mean to cause all this. It was supposed to be just... fun. It wasn't something serious, I swear."
Lu Zhi Hao coldly glared at the two of them, "Fun? You endangered lives. Yours, your brother's, the public's. You're fortunate enough that no one died. You represent a billion-dollar empire. You're executives, not rebels in a street gang. What came over you? If you have a problem, why can't you table it? Do you have to make your Momma cry like this?" His face was cold and frigid. They could feel like they were freezing. This man!
The boys winced. The police officer watched from the sidelines as they took a step backwards.
"Do you know you are the ones trending online? You all became celebrities in a matter of seconds!" Lu Wan Ruyi coldly smirked. She hadn't taught them racing so that they could race along the highway. Luckily, they haven't snitched on her.
"Make arrangements and file all the papers, arrange a court hearing today, and now." Lu Wan Ruyi smirked as she walked over, getting closer and heavily pinching their ears. They didn't have any qualms and didn't dare wince in pain, they took the punishment honestly like two responsible adults.
One of the lawyers responded, "Yes, Madam. Bail has been posted, and the Court hearing is in thirty minutes. We've also sent statements to relevant authorities and PR agencies for them to clear all that footage and images that were taken earlier on."
Lawyer 2: "We are arranging a press briefing for them. We will need both boys to give a formal apology to the public, even though nothing negative is trending."
The silence lingered. The weight of disappointment cut deeper than any punishment. They hadn't expected they needed to have a press release done.
After bail, the boys were immediately taken over to the court for their hearing.
Stacks of legal documents were being arranged, scanned, and signed in a rush. The legal team was in full motion. The press was already whispering while surrounding the police station and at the courthouse, waiting to see what would happen.
Lu Wan Ruyi and Lu Zhi Hao stood in the observation glass of the office building, watching their sons from afar, quietly filing paperwork under supervision.
"What's the matter with them!" She didn't know what to think of, they had never been this wild.
"It's okay... I will talk to them, let's settle down." They sat somewhere as their lawyers did their work.
The lawyers were busy preparing the documents. They were getting their case files in order. "I want no loose ends—insurance, traffic footage, statements from the guards, everything should be handled." Lu Zhi Hao instructed the lawyers, who nodded their heads.
One of the lawyers spoke up, "We have already contacted the highway authority. We're negotiating to reduce the charges, and also make sure everything is in order."
"All right.... Work on it." Lu Zhi Hao dismissed them as he intimately hugged his wife.
Thirty minutes later, they were led over to the courtroom.

INT. COURTROOM
The courtroom was suddenly packed with reporters and people out of nowhere.
The press, the family attorneys, and a few curious members of the public crowded the wooden benches. Cameras weren't allowed inside, but phones buzzed silently, and the reporters sent live updates outside to the public who were watching.
Lu Ting Cheng and Lu Zi Zhen sat behind their defense attorneys, feeling like laughing. Why were there so many people all of a sudden? They were wearing their semi-official clothes, looking like two models accidentally dropped into a courtroom drama.
