"Ruyi, he hasn't opened up!" Lu Wan Ruyi was their mother and always close to them; maybe she would know what happened.
"Mother, let him come around and calm down; he will talk it out if he wants to." She couldn't tell her the possibility of him having to lose millions of dollars, or how could she tell him that his brother doubts and thinks he could have caused the night's accident? She couldn't snitch on him, they would have to wait until he came around.
"Do you think it could be his mother? Could he have met her?" Mo Zhiqian carefully asked, she was nervous as they rarely brought that topic up.
"If they met, it's up to him; what he decides to do, no one would stop him. If he wants to reunite with her, well and good, she is still their biological mother." She actually didn't mind, the only problem could arise if her husband entertained that woman, that's where she would draw the line.
"That's true." Seeing she was calm about it, she relaxed and sat there, accompanying her.

Lu Zi Zhen was driving his sports car out today personally, and Lu Ting Cheng did the same. The guards trailed behind them with the Jeeps.
Getting over to the highway, Lu Zi Zhen sped up, and Lu Ting Cheng decided to speed up too and catch up with him, but Lu Zi Zhen was racing through the highway; luckily, the place didn't have any jams at the moment.
The highway had four lanes in each direction, separated by a wide, landscaped median with well-groomed trees, shrubs, and grass. They easily overtake other cars rushing through the red lights.
The engines roared as Lu Ting Cheng's black sports car swerved onto the main highway, followed closely by Lu Zi Zhen's sleek silver sedan.
Anyone driving on the highway could identify who they were from those unique number plates.
The brothers hadn't spoken a word since they left the mansion, but the silence between them was loaded with confusion, frustration, and emotions neither of them could properly name. What was even bothering them? But why race along the highway, of all the places that exist?
Lu Ting Cheng hit the accelerator harder, pulling up beside his brother, who had slightly slowed down. He rolled down his window, yelling over the wind, "Why are you driving so crazily today?"
"Why are you doing the same thing I'm doing? Doing it just for fun!" Lu Zi Zhen stepped on the gas, and the car swerved away, leaving his brother behind, and the brother did the same too.
The city blurred past them as they tore through the lanes, their speed climbing well past the legal limit. Car horns blared behind them. Traffic cameras flashed.
A sudden wailing siren cut through the air as they chased them down. All the checkouts had been signalled.
Red and blue lights flared in the rearview mirrors.
"Damn it," Lu Zi Zhen muttered coldly cursing, he hadn't had enough of it, easing off the gas, but it was too late. Two patrol cars boxed them in, forcing them to pull over. And they had to apply the emergency brake.
They both got out of their vehicles, hands raised in a show of compliance. A stern-looking officer stepped out of the lead patrol car, sunglasses hiding his expression as he walked toward them.
"Officers, don't you think you are way too fast? I haven't even had enough fun!" Lu Zi Zhen smirked, eying him nonchalantly like he hadn't committed any crime under the jurisdiction.
"Young Master Zhen, Cheng.... Don't you think you are doing it in the wrong place? Do you two have any idea how fast you were going just now?" he snapped, glaring at him. " You have always been a well-behaved man. What happened? I need your License and registration. Now." He knew he couldn't do anything to them, but at least he would have hit the record for arresting these two prominent figures.
