Chapter 54 - Hide

As Jangla's mom started knocking on the door, Jangla panicked and spun around to glare at Sammy. "Hide somewhere! Fast!"

Sammy glanced around the room, eyes darting between a tiny lamp and an even smaller flowerpot. "Where? Your room is like a war zone!"

"Figure it out, genius!" Jangla snapped.

Sammy hit behind Chingla, trying to use her as a human cover. But Chingla, being half his size, barely covered him.

Jangla swiftly kicked him in the panic. "Hide somewhere else, stupid!"

"Fine, fine!" Sammy hobbled over to the dresser open the drawer. He tried to squeeze inside, but the drawer was packed with so many clothes that they exploded out like a cannon, burying him in a colorful avalanche.

The knock stopped and her mom finally opened the door.

Panicking, Jangla shoved the clothes around to try and cover Sammy better.

Jangla's mom stepped in and immediately frowned. "Why does it look like a tornado hit your room?"

Chingla stood frozen, offering a nervous smile. "Hi... Ma'am!".

Jangla jumped in. "Uh, hi, Mom! So, um, this is my friend Chingla! Since vacation just started, we decided to have a sleepover!"

Her mom crossed her arms. "A sleepover in this mess? Aren't you ashamed to bring your friend into a room like this?"

The mom then started walking toward the pile of clothes. "If you're bringing friends over, at least clean up a little. What kind of example are you setting?"

Jangla's panic levels hit maximum. "We'll clean it ourselves!" she blurted out.

Her mom gave her a knowing look. "You? Clean? The only thing you clean is your snack drawer when the chips run out."

The mom then bent down to pick up the clothes. Chingla in a desperate situation moved toward the door. "I need to go to the bathroom!"

The mom turned around. "Jangla, show her where it is." saying that she went back to cleaning.

Both Jangla and Chingla covered their faces, preparing for the inevitable and was ready to explain everything.

As the mom picked up the clothes one by one, soon the last piece of clothing picked, Jangla and Chingla were sweating bullets. They were sure Sammy was about to be exposed

But to their shock, the pile of clothes revealed... nothing.

They exhaled deeply in unison, trying not to look suspicious.

The mom stood up, brushing her hands. "See? That wasn't so hard. Now, Jangla, keep this room tidy. If you're going to bring friends over, at least pretend to have some shame."

She turned to Chingla with a smile. "Unlike you, dear. You look like such a sweet, responsible girl. I'm sure your room is spotless."

Chingla froze, Her mind flashed to the disaster zone that was her room: clothes draped over her bed, three-day-old snacks on the desk, and an unidentified smell coming from under her chair.

Jangla smirked, whispering, "Spotless, huh?"

Chingla stammered, "Uh, yes! My room is... spotless. Like a showroom! No mess at all!"

Mom, learn something from your friend, no matter how much I tell you but you still don't keep your room clean don't complain if one day pigs starts breeding in your room.

I guess my words won't change you now,

only the words of the one above can change you. (God).

All of a sudden a voice from above came not even I can change her.

Everyone was shocked and looked up to see sam hanging on a ceiling fan.

Jangla chingla was surprised to see sam on the ceiling fan and didn't dared to speak a word now.

The mom confused thinking why Sam is hanging on the ceiling fan asked what are you doing there.

Sam said I came to repair the fan since jangla said it was not working.

The mom said ok I get it but why this early.

Sam nervously laughs saying well you know what they say the early bird gets the broken fan.

The mom laughs saying oh Sam you are so funny, do you want tea? I'll go make some!

Sam said do you have Capacheno.

Jangla took out her slipper and hit Sam knocking him down from the ceiling.

You don't ask for Cappuccino here you'll only get black tea now.

Due to the commotion Tsunami who was sleeping soundly woke up and all of them went to the kitchen to have a cup of tea.
