William had gotten ahead of himself and slew four groups of goblins. While he was slaying the final group of goblins, his daggers had finally given up and shattered after slicing the throat of an unaware goblin, the sound of the clinking metal alerting the others in the group to his presence.
With great effort, he managed to weave through the incoming blows before thrusting the sharp end of the spear he had into the gut of one, while with his other hand, he tossed the fallen axe from the previous goblin at the other, which ends up lodged in the creature's bulbous belly.
As he pulled the spear from the dead goblin directly in front of him, the last goblin was preparing to strike him with a club, and William only managed to dodge by letting go of the spear and leaping backward.
"Hweh, Hweh, Hweh!"
The goblin, feeling like it had accomplished the feat of disarming William, chuckled with an unsettling voice.
However, the glee in its face turned to horror when William's eyes suddenly began to glow yellow, and he moved quicker than the goblin could possibly react.
Suddenly, William flashed to the goblin's side with his foot raised in a kick which landed on the goblin's neck and caused the creature's spine to break and the creature to fall limp with a crooked neck.
Ding - Level: 7
EXP: 50 / 700
He had leveled up due to the experience he gained from the goblins and even gone slightly over the limit somewhat.
"Whew, I should head back and put away some of this stuff before I become unable to move effectively."
He had scavenged quite a haul from the slain goblins.
William was putting a few of the smaller weapons on his waist while he wrapped a cloth he had removed from one of the goblins around a set of spears, making it look like he was carrying a giant group of pencils.
He also found a slightly worn short sword at the edge of the small clearing, and when he brought the blade up to his face to see the condition of its edge, he heard something he never thought he would hear in a place like this.
"EEEEKKKK!"
William heard an obnoxiously high-pitched scream echoing from the somewhat distant east and spun to a stop.
"That sounded like a person!"
He immediately dashed forward in the direction from which the scream originated, his body a blur as he weaved between the trees and rocks.
He eventually arrived at a bloodied trail of armored human bodies and a carriage missing the top portion, it appeared something rather large had torn the top completely off the carriage.
A few smaller goblins were munching on the remains of one of the armored men when they noticed William on the ledge with his bow at the ready.
"FWIK!"
The arrow launched inside the open mouth of a goblin as it was about to scream out for reinforcement, causing a pained gurgle to escape the creature's mouth before it fell over lifeless.
Three other goblins who witnessed their comrade die instantly grew enraged and immediately charged William's position with a mixture of clubs and rough-looking blades as they ascended the hill he was on.
"GRAAAHH, GUUUGAAHH!"
They screamed out as they continued to approach.
William wasted no time and began firing arrows at the approaching goblins, landing one arrow in the bulging belly of one, the leg of another, and the neck of a final goblin who struggled madly as he choked on his own blood and William dropped his bow before pulling out a pair of spare daggers he had taken from a recent kill and crossing them in front of him in a sort of makeshift guard.
The single goblin he had not fired on yet had finally arrived while swinging its serrated blade towards William's neck in an attempt at an easy kill, but it was easily blocked by William's dagger before using his superior strength to grab the goblin by its forearm and pull it into his waiting dagger which he pressed forcibly into the bulbous belly of the goblin who wasn't expecting such a counter.
The other two were suddenly scared for their lives, seeing their comrade die so easily, and they began running, however—
"SQELCH!"
A goblin spear jutted out from the back of the slower goblin as William's silhouette dashed past this creature with a sharp glint of a blade in his hand.
The last goblin screamed in terror and felt the hairs on its neck stand up, it could basically feel William's glare poking holes into the back of its head.
Suddenly, the goblin's point of view flipped, and he saw his body continue moving for a few feet before falling to the ground in a flopping, bloody mess.
"AAAHHHH, NOOOOOO!" A scream echoed from nearby, causing William's head to snap in the direction it came from.
Further up the road was a trail of dead human bodies left brutalized by some unknown creature, their armor dented and cracked with only a few pieces being useable at all.
"NOOOOOOO!"
Another scream rang out from that direction, and he dashed forward with his bow knocked and ready with an arrow.
Moving through the road which zigzagged through the forest, he eventually came around a corner to see a pair of goblins holding down a struggling woman while a third, much larger goblin with a paler green to his skin compared to the other goblins and thick tufts of fur on its back.
The larger goblin was slowly tormenting some poor woman, slowly tearing off her armored plates and revealing her abnormal physique.
The goblins holding her down grew visibly more aroused as they licked their lips.

William's eyes flashed with greed as he imagined what the possible S rank reward would be, but before he could get ahead of himself, the large goblin had finally removed the woman's breast plate, revealing her blouse underneath and the soft pink flesh underneath.
His eyes sharpened at the sight, and he suddenly had the look of a man of culture, before suddenly he pulled the string of his bow, aiming towards one of the goblins, pinning the woman to the ground.
"FWICK!"
The arrow was loosed and the deadly wooden shaft traveled in a steady arc, casting a blurry shadow on the ground as it moved before lodging into the shoulder of the goblin and destroying the creature's ability to use that arm forever.
"GRAAAHHHH!"
The goblin roared in pain as it let go of the girl in order to nurse its now useless arm.
The young woman was able to break free of the goblins encircling her as they were now focused on their attacker, and she was able to go hide behind a nearby tree in an attempt to hide.
She watched in utter horror as the three goblins approached her savior with weapons at the ready, however, another arrow came from the underbrush and struck the other shoulder of the goblin that was struck before.
"GRAAA!"
The goblin screamed as its arm fell limp, and the blade it used clattered uselessly to the ground.
A third arrow put the creature out of its misery when it struck the screaming creature's forehead, and the light in its eyes dimmed before it fell over dead.
The other small one arrived in front of William quickly while waving its blade at him wildly, he performed a quick dodge roll as the blade neared his head and sliced the legs of the goblin on his way back up.
The goblin howled in pain as it attempted to perform a backward swing towards William, but using the shaft of the spear to deflect the blade, he grabbed the throat of the creature and began stabbing it repeatedly in its ribs, hoping to hit its heart.
"SHK!"
"SHK!"
"SHK!"
With a final thrust of the dagger, he appeared to have stuck the heart of the creature, and it let out a few blood-filled bubbles from its mouth before falling over dead.
Before William could celebrate, however, a fist crashed into his side and sent him skidding on the ground before raising its foot and attempting to stomp downward.
William managed to roll out of the way just in time for the rather large foot to create a divot in the ground out of sheer force.
He thrusts his spear at the large goblin, but the creature, seemingly more capable than its brethren, dodges swiftly with a mere shuffle of its feet, allowing it to close the distance and attempt to strike William in his chest with a clawed hand ready to rip the flesh from his bones.
As William and the large goblin fought, the terrified woman hiding behind a tree watched with rapt attention and prayed for the young man's victory as she clasped her hands together, causing a gentle ray of light to peak through the clouds before falling on the young woman making her slightly red brown hair to appear as if it was a flame as it waved in the air without any notable wind.
William felt a surge of strength within his body along with a strange warmth, causing him to pause momentarily, allowing the goblin to backhand him hard enough to send him sliding into the tree where the young woman was hiding.
Blood trickled from his mouth, and a visible bruise was forming on his face.
However, William stood up as if assisted by some unknown force and pointed his spear forward with a stern glare in his eyes in challenge to the goblin.
