In actuality, however, Kaiji didn't even know how to activate the Seven Heavens Breathing Method technique.
He lacked the specific opening process, just as he lacked it for the Eight Inner Gates.
But there was one thing that gave him confidence that he could recreate the Seven Heavens Breathing Method himself.
This technique centered on a specific breathing pattern unique to itself.
The main focus was on breathing, not forcing specific chakra points open.
'If I get enough time to dedicate for this technique, I might really Re-create Seven Heavens Breathing Method technique myself, way before Shira.' Kaiji thought.
But a question lingered. 'What kind of training method do I need for this technique?'
While he was thinking about potential training methods, another thought came into his mind.
The thought concerned which technique was more powerful, Seven Heavens Breathing Method or Eight Inner Gates.
"Probability is high for eight inner gates" he said, weighing the information he knew.
"I remember in anime Shira lost to Rock Lee." However, he reasoned, "This doesn't inherently make Eight Inner Gates powerful."
He elaborated on his reasoning, "The Eight Inner Gates technique was created and mastered by Might Dai after decades of practice and training.
In contrast, the Seven Heavens Breathing Method was created by a 15-year-old, Shira who obviously hadn't started creating this technique upon birth.
He had just created and started improving it for just a few years by the time it shown in the anime."
This was true; in the anime, the Seven Heavens Breathing Method was shown to be created by a 15-year-old Shira all by himself within just a few years.
This was totally different from the Eight Inner Gates, which Might Dai continued to improve until he was in his mid-30s, though he also created this by himself.
So saying that Seven Heavens Breathing Method was weaker based only on anime knowledge from their fight might be wrong.
This technique might even be equal to the Eight Inner Gates in its potential.
Moreover, in the anime, the strength shown by Shira against Rock Lee also didn't definitively prove that the Seven Heavens Breathing Method was weaker.
Shira trained all by himself, while Rock Lee was trained and coached by Might Guy, a master of the Eight Inner Gates.
So, even based on their fights, it was hard to say which technique was strongest.
Both techniques required good physical conditioning and a good understanding of Basic Taijutsu to amplify their overall fighting prowess.
If Rock Lee had better physical conditioning than Shira, then comparing these two techniques power levels based solely on their fight wouldn't work.
Shira wouldn't have been able to showcase the full potential of the Seven Heavens Breathing Method in that case.
It was also similar in the Eight Inner Gates case. Might Guy, even after opening the first five Gates, could reach a standard Kage Level strength, or maybe even higher, due to his vast physical conditioning.
But in the case of Rock Lee at the beginning of the anime, this was different.
Rock Lee was also shown in the anime opening the first five Gates, but his strength was nowhere near a standard Kage Level.
The reason was the vast difference in their physical conditioning required to showcase the full potential of the technique.
Kaiji considered, "Then only point that makes Eight Inner Gates stronger is Eighth Gate, Gate Of Death, which provides Might Guy power equivalent to Six Path Level being, though temporarily, but it did provide that level of power to him against Six-Path Madara." he concluded.
'Which might not be in case with Seven Heavens Breathing Method,' he thought.
But then another point arose. Shira might not have reached the full potential of the Seven Heavens Breathing Method himself.
'So,' he wondered, 'who knows if there is one more Breathing that also gives the same benefits and drawbacks as the Gate Of Death?'
This theory of Kaiji made sense. To find this out, he needed to recreate and improve the technique himself.
"Alright then, it's decided" Kaiji said, his voice firm. "I will try to make myself a training regimen for Seven Heavens Breathing Method."
With this decided, he looked at the list he had written about the things he would focus on and the things he wouldn't focus on for now.
The items not to focus on were Genjutsu and Puppetry arts.
The items to focus on were Iryo Ninjutsu, Elemental Ninjutsus, Fuinjutsu, Kenjutsu, and Sensory Abilities, but only if the village offered training regarding improving Sensory Abilities.
And the last item was the Seven Heavens Breathing Method Technique for Taijutsu.
Kaiji outlined his initial steps. "Hm, for starting, I will first focus on Iryo Ninjutsu and Elemental Ninjutsu learning, plus planning myself a training regimen for Seven Heavens Breathing Method."
He set a priority for Sealing skills.
"Fuinjutsu will come after I learn Medical Ninjutsu, at least to the point I may heal myself if injured during battles." he decided.
With this decided, he began to think about which elemental affinity he should start training for. He mused aloud.
"I already know a few offensive Wind Style Ninjutsus that were taught in the Academy." he said.
"So, Wind Nature is obviously out and learning Defensive Ninjutsu would be better for Starting." he concluded.
He then posed the final question to himself. "But question is, which Chakra Nature do I start with?"
