Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: The Battle of Pro

The Thunder Titan giant, upon hearing Amigel's unabashed declaration, was instantly consumed by rage.

"The glory of the Titans, even if submerged in the mire of this world, is not something that ants like you can shatter!"

"Amigel! You once groveled at my toes, begging for my mercy. Now, I grant you one final chance! Kneel, and you may live!"

Perhaps it was the lingering, deadly threat from the goblin camp that had yet to dissipate, prompting the proud Thunder Titan to consider sparing these creatures for the first time

Among the eight Titans present, only three were adults. The rest were mere juveniles.

Their towering heights of nearly a hundred meters unable to conceal their legendary status.

Before the Titans' lineage, Yatri had yielded.

But Amigel shook his head, his gaze resolute as he faced the mountain-like giant before him, shouting with unwavering conviction:

"Yatri, I despise the shame you inflicted upon me! From that day forward, I swore never to kneel again!"

With those words, he raised the Spear of Amigel and launched himself into the air, charging toward the Thunder Titan Yatri!

"Today, we shall topple the Titans! All forces, charge with me!"

To challenge a demigod with the body of a legend—what courage, what an epic saga!

Behind Amigel, the myriad races of the continent witnessed his fearless ascent into battle. Inspired, the million-strong army surged forward, their morale ignited, rushing toward the Titan camp.

The war erupted in an instant!

The two camps clashed, blades meeting blades, flesh entwined in brutal combat. The ferocity of the slaughter reached its zenith in mere moments.

At the heart of the fiercest fighting was the battlefield between Amigel and the Thunder Titan!

Contrary to expectations, Amigel was neither slain nor forced to retreat by a single blow from the Thunder Titan.

Instead, his body erupted with a towering, blood-red aura, a crimson haze that pierced the heavens like a beacon of war. This overwhelming presence was far beyond that of a mere legend.

It was unmistakably the aura of a mighty demigod!

In Jarius' understanding, this was the advanced form of the Blood Knight lineage—a demigod knight!

Who could have imagined that Amigel was a demigod himself?

By the side of the other two demigod Titans, each was entangled in combat with over a dozen legendary warriors from the goblin clan!

As for the remaining five Titans, three were held at bay by three legendary warriors from the troll and dwarf races, while the other two were besieged by two highly disciplined goblin armies!

One of these was Amigel's Yellow Cloak Guards.

The legends of Felander were not invincible. Despite their strength as warriors capable of facing thousands and their devastating power, they could still fall to mortals below the legendary rank!

In the future, a well-trained army of ten thousand could bring down a seasoned legend!

Witnessing this, Jarius finally understood why Amigel dared to challenge the Titans!

The goblins' foundation was truly unfathomable.

Over twenty legends and a demigod! No wonder they could establish the vast empire of the Second Chapter.

But having chosen a side, they would fight to the end.

As countless eagles, griffins, hippogryphs, flying beasts, and wolf bats rose from behind the Titan legions.

Jarius raised his bronze longsword at the forefront of the winged man's ranks, roaring with fervor:

"Today marks the rise of our winged man! We will show those swine soaring in the skies that the heavens belong to us!"

"Clutch your bows! Grip your swords! Defeat them!"

"Let their skulls pave our path to becoming a dominant race on this continent!"

"Kill!"

"Kill!"

"Kill!"

Mount Proadas stood as a solitary, towering peak on the vast plain, its surroundings barren save for its looming presence.

It was hard not to wonder whether this was a creation of nature or a construct of some ancient hand.

The Pro Plain, named after the mountain, spanned no more than a thousand miles in length and width. To the southwest lay the Whispering Forest, to the east an elliptical lake, and to the north a narrow mountain range bordering the northern grasslands.

This place, with its vast skies and open terrain, was a natural battleground for the winged man's aerial warfare.

Facing nearly a hundred thousand airborne troops from the enemy, Jarius led his ten thousand winged warriors, avoiding direct melee combat.

He directed his forces to soar higher, raining arrows from a distance. When the enemy closed in, they would retreat, maintaining their advantage.

In moments when the distance could not be maintained, the front ranks of winged warriors would cast aside their bows, draw their longswords, and use their blood and bodies to hold back the advancing eagles, griffins, and hippogryphs!

The ranged suppression from high altitudes was devastating!

Even the mighty griffins, imbued with the supernatural power of wind, were reduced to fleeing in disarray under the relentless tactics and disciplined might of this army!

Those who had never witnessed a volley of ten thousand arrows could not comprehend its terror!

Years later, this battle would remain a lingering wound for the eaglefolk race, for their clawed limbs could never wield a bow.

Thus, the Titan camp's aerial forces, nearly a hundred thousand strong, were toyed with and outmaneuvered by Jarius's warriors.

Regrettably, Jarius did not spot the eaglefolk King among this vast eagle legion.

Perhaps, in this campaign, the eagles had aligned with the Titans but were unwilling to commit their full strength.

This was not unique to the Titan-aligned races. The goblin camp's allied races were similarly divided.

Even the trolls had tribes fighting on the Titan side.

Every race harbored selfish motives, especially these cunning, long-lived veterans.

Races like Jarius', who brought their entire elite force to partake in this decisive battle for the Felander continent, were rare.

This was one reason the goblin king treated the winged man with such respect—Jarius' commitment was truly exceptional!

Hours later, the aerial battle concluded. The winged man, having lost three thousand of their own, emerged victorious!

The skies above Proadas were now cleared of the Titan camp's aerial forces!

Afterward.

The winged warriors returned to the rear camp to replenish their arrow reserves, eat, and rest before setting out again.

The war was far from over!

Jarius divided his forces into squads of fifty to harass the Titan camp's tribal armies freely, while he led hundreds of transcendent winged warriors to join the assault on the Titan giants!

As he returned to the skies, gazing down upon the earth.

The Proadas Plain was a scene of carnage, with millions of corpses strewn across the battlefield, rivers of blood flowing freely.

The Titans and the goblin camp's legends fought to the death.

Only then did Jarius notice why over a dozen goblin legends could hold their own against the supreme demigod Titans: each goblin legend wielded a strange alchemical device!

In the heart of the goblin army, a camp filled with bizarre alchemical constructs unleashed barrages of firepower upon the Titans.

To Jarius, these resembled the super cannons of his previous world!
