Odette was reading a new spellbook given by her teacher on her bed. She placed a light ball right over her head to act as a night lamp and a source of warmth as she continued reading while Elder Duckling nestled next to her on the bed.
However, right when she was focusing on her book, Elder Duckling suddenly gasped, and shrieked, 'NO!'
Odette jolted for a moment. She turned her head towards Elder Duckling, and asked out of worry, "What's wrong, Elder? What happened?"
Elder Duckling did not react at first. But Odette could see that she just had a huge shock for some unknown reason. She waited for Elder Duckling to calm down and asked again, "Elder, what happened?"
Elder Duckling looked up at Odette, and said, 'Odette, you need to help me right now.'
"R-right now?" Odette looked outside the window and saw it was already late at 'night' in the kingdom. "It's very late, Elder. And I don't think I can do anything that you can't do."
