"Take the wheat to the warehouse, but make sure to pick half of it so it is ready to be sold."
I order the others as I watch the people I hire move the first harvest from the Dome to the warehouse.
Sometimes, I wonder why I am the one taking care of this place instead of doing some experiments. Sadly, Ghira wants me to do it, and I cannot just reject his request. Luckily, I only need to oversee the harvest, and Ghira will hire someone to take this job from me.
Anyway, it has been a couple of months since I arrived in this world, and there are a lot of improvements happening in Kuo Kuana. The first one is the energy source of Kuo Kuana. I made the bigger version of the Aetherion Core, but I combined it with the Solar Panel as well.
I named that thing Solaris-Aetherion Hybrid Reactor.
This thing will power the entire continent for a long time. It will take a massive spaceship to make this reactor struggle to catch up, and even then, it takes the spaceship to use an FTL drive.
I also solved the food problem; now we no longer need to worry about food. We can focus our money on buying more dust; even then, it will be mitigated with the new dust mine I found.
Military? All White Fangs now use the weapons I make. They are all uniform and do not have the same flair as the ones they create themselves, but they are more powerful and do not require dust to power.
So, what do we do with the dust we buy and mine? They are powering transport vehicles like cargo ships and cargo Bullhead. What? We need to deliver these goods outside the other kingdoms, and we need dust to power these vehicles.
However, I am already planning to replace all of them with vehicles of my own design. I already have one for personal use. It is a hoverbike that is designed for fast traversal over a wide variety of terrain. That includes hovering over the water. That means I can use this thing to go to another continent if I want to.
The only downside is that I cannot cram enough protection in this thing other than a low-level Hard-Light from the Overwatch world. I can change it into a better tech, but I need something that I don't have.
It is a material that is common in another world, but there is none here. It is Ether from the Xenoblade Chronicles. I can make ether using the fabricator, but it requires a massive amount of matter to create a 10-gram Ether, and I need 10 Kg of it to make the shield for my hoverbike work.
Yeah. It is not good.
Lucky for me, I can access a place that sells a massive amount of Ether. I think it is time for me to visit the Multiverse Marketplace. I will sell the previous fabricator and buy as much ether as possible using the money I get from selling the fabricator.
I will visit that place after I am done here.
"Sir!"
I snap out of my thoughts and look to the side. I see a mouse Faunus stand next to me and says.
"What is it, Amara?"
She is my assistant, whom the Albain Twin appointed for me, and someone who helps me take care of the excess work that I don't want to take care of.
"We are done here, sir."
"Truly?"
I look to the side, and the people are already moving all the goods to the warehouse. Perfect.
"Right. Tell the others to bring all the seeds and put them into the machine. Make sure they put them inside the correct box, okay? We don't want mutated plants."
"Understood, sir. Leave it to me."
"Perfect. I will be in the Workshop if there is any trouble."
After ensuring that nothing requires my immediate attention, I leave the dome and walk to my workshop. I enter my private lab and make sure to lock the door to prevent anyone from entering.
When I knew no one could see me, I opened a portal for the Multiverse Marketplace.
I see a golden portal appear in front of me, and I take a deep breath before walking through the portal.
After walking through the portal, I can see a narrow street with stalls on both sides of the road. I blink for a second because it looks like a street food vendor instead of a modern marketplace, which I had in mind.
I shake my head and look at the name of the stall. All of them represent some kind of company around the multiverse. I stop in front of a rather familiar name. It is a stall that represents a Waifu Catalog. It is the name of a CYOA that was rather popular in my previous life.
It is a CYOA about an agent joining a company that is involved in slavery across the multiverse. In the CYOA, they are known as a powerful company, but their stall is the shabbiest-looking one. It looks poorly made, unlike the others.
I don't know if this is something to gather sympathy, but it catches my attention.
I walk to the stall and see a woman looking at me in surprise. She fixes her clothes and says.
"Welcome to our Market Stall. We are the Waifu Catalog company. What can I do for you?"
"What are you guys selling? Also, are you guys willing to buy something?"
"Depending on the item, we are willing to buy it."
I nod, take out my fabricator from my [Inventory], and put it on the stall. The woman looks at the fabricator in shock and says.
"This is… exquisite. It is a 3D Printer that uses all kinds of matter to create the item you want."
"I prefer to call it a fabricator."
"But it is more of a printer than a fabricator. A fabricator needs the required material to create the thing you want. This thing? It can change any matter into anything you want."
"Right."
Then why in the hell does the blueprint from the CYOA tell me it is a fabricator? Oh well.
"So? Do you want to buy this thing?"
"Of course. We are more than willing to buy this. We might not be as powerful as we were in the past, but we still have a lot of resources to buy this. We are willing to buy this, and we are even willing to buy it at market price."
Before I ask a question, a blue panel appears in front of me and shows me the price of my tech.
|Market Price: 23,000|
"What is the market price?"
"Ah, a new person, huh? Well, the Market Price is the price the Marketplace puts on the Goods you want to sell. We can haggle with each other for a better price."
Ah, that is what it means. It is not a fixed price but rather a suggestion for us to negotiate with each other.
"Do you want to increase the price? We are willing to increase the price, but cannot go too much. We are not as big as before, after all."
That. That is another thing that I am confused about. I thought that Waifu Catalog was supposedly a massive company that many Gods could only watch from a distance because of how powerful they were.
"How?"
"How, what?"
"How can the Waifu Catalog fall this far? I thought you guys were very powerful?"

In ten days, the land my Grandfather left for me will be auctioned. Please help me take it back (ko-fi.com/ryusenka). For every 10$, I will post 1 chapter, and if we reach the goal, I will post every day for at least two months.
