[POV: Solenne]
Solenne nodded faintly, her body swaying where she sat. The quilt slipped from her shoulders, and she made a small, tired motion to catch it—but Eira was already there, tucking it gently back around her.
"Rest now," the druid murmured. "Your strength will return soon; when it does, we can decide what to do next."
Solenne sank into the soft, aged cushions, exhaustion claiming her. The fire cast a warm, golden glow against the walls, but her thoughts wandered far beyond the cabin.
She couldn't help but think back to the cave and the dreamworld.
…Back to him.
'Ruvan is alive. I know he did… I felt it.'
Somewhere out there, her mate was breathing the same air. He was finally free.
She was happy for him, but worried at the same time. His madness would most certainly get worse if he were alone, left to his own devices.
Solenne knew she needed to reunite with him—he needed her… and he finally gave her life purpose beyond hiding from the world.
