~Alex's POV
The plan was set. We weren't going to wait for Dorian and his allies to strike first.
After gathering intel on his stronghold, a fortified estate on the outskirts of his territory, I led my men in the dead of night. Luca had mapped out the defenses. Armed sentries, motion detectors, and an underground exit route in case Dorian needed to escape.
He wouldn't get that chance.
We moved silently, cutting through the night like shadows. My men took out the perimeter guards, suppressors muffling the shots. We breached the compound, sweeping through hallways with precision. The scent of blood filled the air as our enemies fell, one by one.
But Dorian was ready. He had been expecting another attack.
The moment we entered the main hall, gunfire erupted. I dove behind an overturned table, bullets whizzing past me. Luca was already returning fire, taking down one of Dorian's men. Michael flanked left, leading a group toward the staircase where more enemies were positioned.
