Tanjiro, receiving such thoughtful hospitality from a stranger, felt somewhat embarrassed. He could only express his gratitude verbally.
Yumi diligently prepared three meals a day for them, attending to their every need.
They lived like princes, pampered by their personal attendant.
The doctor checked on Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke's injuries. Inosuke's stitches were removed after a few days of healing.
Tanjiro and Zenitsu only needed rest and regular application of medicine, administered by Yumi. Zenitsu finally got his wish after persistent pleading.
However, Yumi's application was simple; the experience and healing effect couldn't compare to Ryuji's Wood Breathing technique.
Though not as satisfying as Ryuji's treatment, Zenitsu was pleased, enjoying the attention.
Ryuji also treated Tanjiro with Wood Breathing, and Tanjiro, experiencing the magic of Ryuji's hands, understood their power. He healed faster than Inosuke and Zenitsu.
Zenitsu, content with Yumi's ministrations, didn't seek Ryuji's treatment. He preferred a woman's touch over a man's.
Ryuji didn't force him, aware of Zenitsu's plan—to prolong his injury and enjoy Yumi's attention.
Inosuke's most serious injuries were his four broken ribs.
Ryuji offered Wood Breathing treatment, which Inosuke initially refused until Ryuji mentioned it would hasten their duel.
Ten days later, Tanjiro and Inosuke had significantly improved. Zenitsu, having refused Ryuji's treatment, was the slowest to recover. Tanjiro and Inosuke could remove their splints, but Zenitsu needed more time.
Seeing their progress, Zenitsu begged Ryuji for treatment.
"Didn't you say you didn't need my help? Go find your Yumi-san," Ryuji teased.
"Ryuji-senpai, if you don't help, we'll have to stay here much longer. Wouldn't you feel bad about that?" Zenitsu negotiated.
