"After you're finished, my granddaughter, Yumi, will be waiting outside," the old woman said before leaving.
Inosuke was the first to quickly remove his pants, retaining only his loincloth, before jumping into the bath.
Despite his speed, Ryuji saw the name written on his loincloth—Inosuke Hashibira.
Had he worn a loincloth his entire life? And was it even clean? If not, it probably smelled awful.
The others undressed and washed themselves.
Ryuji didn't intend to bathe, so after washing, he left the bathhouse, changed into the provided clothes, and re-sheathed his Nichirin Blade and Demon Slayer blade.
"Ryuji-senpai, aren't you staying a little longer? It's a rare opportunity for a hot bath!" Tanjiro asked, seeing Ryuji already dressed.
Ryuji didn't have a habit of bathing, so he replied, "You guys enjoy it. I'll go get some fresh air."
Zenitsu was already leaning against the side of the bath, enjoying the warmth, a hot towel on his head.
Tanjiro didn't press Ryuji and relaxed in the bath.
Ryuji exited the bathhouse to find a young woman in a kimono waiting.
Seeing him, she asked politely, "Are you finished bathing?"
Ryuji shook his head. "I came out for some air. The others are still enjoying themselves."
She giggled, teasing him, "You're quite humorous!"
Ryuji smiled faintly and asked, "You're the old woman's granddaughter, Yumi, right?"
She nodded. "Grandma told me to wait for you to finish bathing and then take you to the inner house for dinner."
"Yumi-san, I'm Ryuji. It's a pleasure to meet you," Ryuji offered his hand.
Yumi hesitated, then, seeing his handsome face, shook his hand.
Ryuji released her hand without lingering; Yumi seemed reluctant to let go.
This made her shy and embarrassed, but Ryuji didn't mind, simply smiling and changing the subject. "Yumi, your family uses wisteria as a crest. Is there a special connection with the Demon Slayer Corps?"
Yumi nodded and explained.
"It started after my great-great-grandfather's death. When he was young, his family encountered a {demon}. The Demon Slayer Corps saved them. To show their gratitude, they agreed to provide long-term assistance to the Corps."
"This became a family tradition. The wisteria in our courtyard were planted then. Since wisteria repels {demons}, it became our family crest."
