Idris sat on one of the sofas in my office, while I sat on my desk, engrossed in a file on my computer. Now that I had no secretary, Idris doubled as the second in command, and my personal assistant, although the latter is informal.
"There's a stakeholders meeting slated for 02:00 PM. That's like an hour from now." Idris announced, his gaze was fixed on his phone.
"Alright, that could be arranged." I replied absentmindedly. The meeting should not take more than an hour or I'll have it adjourned.
"That should be all for today, right?" I asked after some time, putting the system away. I was done with the file, and only needed it to be stamped.
"I'd send you a file that needs a second signature and a stamp." I said, looking at Idris who still looked closely on his phone.
"You know that's the job of a secretary." Idris replied without looking away from his phone.
"Yeah, but I don't have one. At least not anymore." I replied.
