Madara Uchiha once again activated Limbo: Border Jail!
Suspended in mid-air, Kai made no intention to activate his Kagura Mind's Eye. Instead, he relied solely on his intuition to sense the surroundings. Suddenly, he felt a binding force being applied to his body!
Through his instincts, Kai detected a faint malice lurking around him, watching his every move. He knew the attack from the shadow was imminent. In an instant, a tremendous force erupted from his body, dispersing the approaching Limbo Shadow far into the distance before it could strike.
"This is... Shinra Tensei!" Madara Uchiha immediately recognized the technique. After all, the Rinnegan that once belonged to Nagato was originally his. His face darkened as he muttered, "So, he truly has mastered the power of repulsion!"
"But so what?! Today, you must die!" Madara gritted his teeth, his Rinnegan once again fueling the Limbo: Border Jail!
However, the shadows in the Limbo World could not get close to Kai at all!
The Shinra Tensei emanating from Kai's body never ceased for even a second. Even when the shadows used the Limbo World to approach him, they were instantly repelled by a horrifying force the moment they emerged, unable to land a single strike.
When Yahiko, as the Deva Path, used Shinra Tensei, there was a five-second cooldown due to Nagato needing to transmit chakra to him. However, with sufficient chakra, the cooldown for Shinra Tensei could be entirely eliminated!
This was the Shinra Body of Repulsion!
With Kai's perfect Sage Body, his chakra reserves rivaled that of a Tailed Beast. Waves of Shinra Tensei continuously radiated from his body, leaving the shadows utterly incapable of approaching him!
However, under the influence of this power, the few remaining intact buildings in Kirigakure were reduced to mere ruins.
"Damned brat! If I still had my Rinnegan, how could you possibly still be alive?!" Madara Uchiha roared in frustration.
The Rinnegan in Madara's eyes began to show signs of withering. Originally just ordinary Sharingan infused with the power of the Rinnegan, they had only retained their appearance due to Madara's bloodline and the residual ocular energy. Now, as the power within them was nearly exhausted, the eyes were beginning to falter.
Kai noticed this as well. Hearing Madara's words, he smirked slightly and said, "Did you think the abilities of the Tenseigan were limited to just this?"
As soon as he finished speaking, nine jet-black Truth-Seeking Orbs appeared, floating around Kai!
"Truth-Seeking Orbs?! How is this possible?!"
Madara Uchiha stared in shock at the orbs surrounding Kai, clearly unable to believe his eyes. Although he was unfamiliar with the Tenseigan, he was well aware of the Truth-Seeking Orbs, a product of the fusion of Yin-Yang Release. The black rods created by the Rinnegan were a basic application of Yin-Yang Release, but the Truth-Seeking Orbs represented a far more advanced utilization of this power.
While Kai could use the Truth-Seeking Orbs to unleash techniques like Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion and Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion, his mastery was still limited to these basic applications. He could wield the orbs but had yet to fully control them.
"It's not impossible," Kai said calmly, looking down at Madara Uchiha below.
The jet-black Truth-Seeking Orbs began to spin rapidly, generating a fierce storm!
Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
A silvery-gray tornado raged across the heavens and earth, twisting and churning as it descended upon Madara Uchiha. Already aged and drained of the Rinnegan's power, Madara stood no chance against the might of the Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion. In an instant, he was swept into the storm, his body torn into countless fragments!
The legendary powerhouse who once dominated the entire ninja world, the founder of Konoha—Madara Uchiha—had fallen in Kirigakure.
Though Kai knew that if left undisturbed, he would encounter Madara again in the final battle several years down the line, he remained unfazed.
"But so what?" Kai thought confidently. Even against a fully restored Madara Uchiha, he would have no fear!
The battle between Kai and Madara ended with Kai's victory. With Yagura, the Fourth Mizukage, freed from Madara's control, one would expect the villagers of Kirigakure to celebrate. Yet, the atmosphere was eerily silent.
Scratching his head in confusion, Kai noticed the complex expressions on the faces of the surrounding Kirigakure shinobi.
"Mitarashi Kai!" Mei Terumi's voice rang out, filled with suppressed anger.
"What's wrong? No need to thank me," Kai replied with a nonchalant expression.
Hearing his words, Mei Terumi could barely contain her fury. The battle between Kai and Madara had left Kirigakure in ruins, with nearly 90% of the village destroyed. Adding insult to injury, both Kai and Madara were Konoha shinobi. How could she not be enraged?
As Mei Terumi glared at him with eyes blazing with anger, Kai finally realized the gravity of the situation. Looking around at the devastation, he felt a pang of awkwardness.
Kirigakure now resembled a wasteland, even more desolate than Konoha after Pain's assault in the original storyline.
"Uh... hehe... well..." Kai stammered, his face turning red with embarrassment. Knowing he couldn't shirk responsibility, he suddenly remembered a certain jutsu!
Wood Release: Four Pillar House Technique!
Centered around Kai, countless wooden structures sprouted from the ground, forming a variety of homes that quickly covered most of Kirigakure. Surveying his work, Kai nodded in satisfaction and turned to Mei Terumi, saying, "This should do, right?"
Though Mei Terumi had told herself countless times that nothing Kai did today would surprise her anymore, the sight before her still left her speechless.
To think that ninjutsu could be used in such a way!
Today, Kai had shattered her understanding of the ninja world and its techniques over and over again!
"Alright then, if there's nothing else, I'll be leaving now," Kai said.
Hearing this, Mei Terumi felt an inexplicable pang of sadness. She looked at Kai and hurriedly asked, "Where are you going?" Her face flushed red as soon as the words left her mouth, fearing he might misunderstand her intentions.
However, in matters like this, Kai was completely oblivious. He answered matter-of-factly, "Of course, I'm leaving Kirigakure."
A wave of disappointment washed over Mei Terumi, though her pride wouldn't allow her to show it. She retorted with a haughty tone, "Hmph, then leave Kirigakure as quickly as you can!" With that, she vanished using the Body Flicker Technique.
This left Kai scratching his head in confusion, murmuring to himself, "Oh well, I should go find Haku first."
Though he wasn't too worried about Haku's safety, Kai had made sure to avoid directing any of his powerful attacks towards the area where Haku was.
