"Reincarnation Eye?" Madara Uchiha frowned in thought. Nearly a century of memories flashed through his mind, yet he couldn't recall a single mention of this so-called "Reincarnation Eye."
After a moment of fruitless contemplation, Madara decided to abandon the thought and stopped dwelling on it. However, his gaze toward Kai turned significantly more serious. For the first time, Madara finally regarded Kai as a worthy opponent, one who could stand on equal footing with him.
"Whether it's the Sage's Body or this so-called Reincarnation Eye, I will crush them all!" Declared Madara, his voice filled with the same domineering confidence that had carried him through decades of dominance in the ninja world. Even in his old age, his aura remained as imposing as ever.
"Is that so? The current ninja world has no place for relics of a bygone era like you!" Kai retorted sharply, his words brimming with defiance.
Puppet Rebirth!
At the command of the Reincarnation Eye, a massive stone giant began to rise from the ground. Towering over Madara's Susano'o by several meters, the stone colossus wasted no time. Without hesitation, it raised its massive fist and brought it crashing down toward Susano'o.
Heaven and Earth Severance!
Seeing the stone giant's attack, Susano'o brandished its enormous longsword and swung it with a ferocious arc. The air itself seemed to shatter under the blade's force! The stone giant's arm was completely severed by the attack, but within mere moments, the arm regenerated and resumed its assault on Susano'o.
"Damn it! What a troublesome opponent. So this is the power of the Reincarnation Eye?" Inside Susano'o, Madara frowned, his expression darkening. His limited ocular power was a finite resource—once spent, it wouldn't return.
Divine Descent!
Kai gave Madara no time to strategize. In an instant, he appeared behind Madara, exploiting the absurd versatility of his spatial ninjutsu. Spatial techniques were, after all, notoriously overpowered. Madara himself had witnessed Obito Uchiha manipulate the entire ninja world with Kamui. For someone like Kai, armed with Divine Descent, defeat was far from a foregone conclusion.
Sage Art: Wood Release—True Thousand Hands: Buddha Avatar!
Fortunately, the True Thousand Hands that had obliterated the armored Three-Tails earlier was still active. Otherwise, Kai wouldn't have been able to unleash the Buddha Avatar so swiftly.
A storm of wooden fists and palms rained down upon the back of Madara's Susano'o. Under this relentless barrage, the rear of Susano'o was shattered, exposing Madara's figure, which had been safely cocooned within.
"So, I've finally got a clear shot at you... Madara Uchiha!" Kai's lips curled into a faint smirk as his figure vanished once more.
In the blink of an eye, Kai reappeared beside Madara, clutching a Rasengan shaped like a spinning shuriken that tore through the air with a deafening howl.
Sage Art: Wind Release—Rasenshuriken!
The Rasenshuriken slammed into Madara's aged body with devastating force. There was no other possible outcome—Madara's body was obliterated on the spot.
With Madara's ocular power gone, the massive Susano'o began to dissipate. Kai also dismissed the stone giant summoned by his Puppet Rebirth. Despite his Sage's Body, the prolonged and intense battle had taken its toll, leaving him visibly fatigued.
Suddenly, Kai's instincts screamed danger. Without hesitation, he activated Divine Descent, narrowly escaping as the ground he had just stood on was engulfed in a raging inferno.
Fire Release: Majestic Destroyer Flame!
There was only one person on this battlefield capable of unleashing such a monstrous fire technique—Madara Uchiha.
Following the trail of flames, Kai turned his gaze toward the source, his pupils contracting sharply.
As expected, Madara stood not far away, his body showing no signs of injury. The only visible change was his right eye, which was now tightly shut, with fresh blood trickling from its corner.
Izanagi!
The ultimate genjutsu of the Uchiha clan, Izanagi sacrifices the light of a Sharingan to rewrite reality itself. For a limited time, the caster can turn their attacks into reality while nullifying any damage or even death inflicted upon them, reducing it all to mere illusion.
"Impressive, brat. Even Hashirama never forced me to use this technique," Madara's voice grew colder, his tone laced with disdain.
"Is that so?" Kai responded nonchalantly, unfazed by Madara's words.
"Now, let me show you the true power of the Sage of Six Paths' eyes!" Madara declared, his remaining Rinnegan locking onto Kai with a piercing glare.
Limbo: Border Jail!
Kai's body froze in place, immobilized by an invisible force. His heart sank as he realized the danger. Without hesitation, he activated Divine Descent once more.
"Spatial ninjutsu, huh? Impressive. It allows you to evade the binding effects of Limbo: Border Jail. But that's not the full extent of its power," Madara's mocking voice reached Kai's ears.
Boom!
Even after teleporting into the air, Kai's body was struck by a crushing blow, sending him hurtling to the ground. He struggled to his feet, his internal organs screaming in protest. The impact had left his insides dislocated and ruptured.
Kagura Mind's Eye—Activate!
Kai activated his sensory technique, but to his frustration, he could detect no trace of the mysterious energy that had attacked him.
"Don't bother. The attacks from Limbo: Border Jail can't be sensed," Madara explained with a smug tone.
"Untraceable, huh?" Kai muttered, his eyebrows furrowing as he recalled everything he knew about Limbo: Border Jail.
The technique was a Rinnegan-exclusive ability, allowing the user to access a parallel dimension known as Limbo. Within this dimension, they could create shadow clones invisible to the outside world. These shadows were impervious to physical attacks but could freely assault targets in the real world. Each shadow possessed nearly identical abilities to the original, including mastery of the user's signature techniques.
During the final battle, Madara had used Limbo: Border Jail to devastating effect, severely injuring all the Tailed Beasts in one fell swoop.
"Attacks that don't exist in this world... Truly a troublesome technique," Kai murmured, his tone calm but tinged with exasperation. Despite the difficulty, he showed no signs of fear.
"Oh? A genius, indeed. Have you already grasped the essence of Limbo: Border Jail?" Madara's voice carried a hint of surprise as he observed Kai.
Thanks to the regenerative power of his perfect Sage's Body, Kai's internal injuries had mostly healed in the brief exchange.
"Although I haven't fully mastered this power yet, I have no other choice," Kai admitted with a wry smile before his expression turned serious. Slowly, he began to rise into the air.
"Repulsion? Could it be another ability of the Reincarnation Eye?" Madara's frown deepened as a sliver of apprehension crept into his heart. However, his confidence in the Rinnegan quickly dispelled his doubts. Staring at the airborne Kai, he declared, "The Sage's Body may be troublesome, but even Hashirama couldn't withstand my full power. So... prepare to die!"
