"Elena." King Killian called immediately after she was done eating. "I have something for you." He added and then brought out the box he had been holding under the table, the whole time. "Here."
Elena hesitated before grabbing the long slender box. She stared at Killian and then back at the box. Her eyes grew wide and a loud gasp escaped her mouth as she opened the box.
"T-this…" She could not even form a coherent sentence as she slowly took out the gold pendant from the box, bringing it close to her heart as tears gathered in her eyes. "T-this is my mother's necklace."
"I-it was Alpha Zade who had this. H-he refused to give it to me even though it was rightfully mine." She sniffled back, trying hard to hold back her tears as she did not want to cry in front of Killian. "He said he would rather have his head cut off than give this back to me."
"Well, technically speaking, his head has been cut off."
"Shut up Zorian." King Killian scolds his wolf.
