"Anyway—" with a cough, he returned to the main topic. "My daughter has just grown stronger, and I think it was thanks to your help too. Tomorrow we'll hold a banquet to celebrate her Ascension.
Why don't you join us? In the meantime, you can stay here for the night, your rooms are already ready. If you'd like to eat something tonight, don't be shy, our cooks work 24/7."
"Then let me thank you in advance." Jeremy replied with a polite nod.
And so the three of them parted ways with Victoria and Adam and followed the butler to their rooms.
"Tell me, Victoria—" Adam's voice was more serious this time. "How did you find those three? You didn't get yourself into trouble, did you? That boy's eye was… strange. And what's with the bandage on his other eye, a fashion trend?"
Victoria looked away.
