Chapter 41 - Potions solutions and making things rjght

The imp stared blankly at Rosa for a long time. He knew the human was serious, his kind could tell these things, but he was unsure if she was a whole human or those that were mentally broken. The ones that were said to be easily possessed.

He continued scrutinizing her for a moment longer before he finally spoke. "The new fatetress is probably the strongest fatetress ever to have existed. How do you intend to control her with this? She has dominion over the soul, the mind, and the spirit. All this gives her control over will. And this is just what we sense about her. She is young and she is smart. She holds back much and other abilities have yet to manifest."

He shook his head as he realized that he had been sent on a suicide mission. What else could this be? He would be the one actually using this thing, even though the fatetress would know who was the actual being with the intent. He actually sighed. Rosa misunderstood his sigh as him judging her shortcomings so she reacted accordingly.

"You disgusting thing! I am rather capable and even if I can not hold the item I can handle Hazel McGonagall!"

He sneered. "You don't even know her real name! How, might I ask, will you truly handle her if you do not even know her true name?! Lesser beings die easily. She.. is.. not.. a… lesser… being!

"You will fail."

There was a long silence between them.

"Then what do you suggest?"

The imp sneered at her, disgust deep in his eyes. He pursed his lips and shook his head. "I honestly can think of nothing you, at this level, can do. I see why the boss sent me on this suicide mission."

Her eyes went wide. "He knew this would fail?!"

The imp snorted. "Of course he knew. He told you it would fail. Things like that we can not lie about. You probably chose not to listen, most of you humans do."

He was right. She fell back into her chair. Everyone was telling her the same thing and she was refusing to listen.

"There may be a way but you have to be a little bit stronger to wield it properly." Had he gone crazy?! Why was he telling her this? If he knew of it the boss knew and he said nothing. A slow creeping fear crawled up his spine as he sat in silence.

"Well what is it?!"

He rolled his eyes. 'Witches! They were the worst type of humans of all, especially the females!'

"It's called an emotion doll."

A doll made of a black greasy substance appeared in the imp's hand. Its eyes were shut tight, its mouth was sown shut and there were greasy stumps where the hands and feet should have been. Black viscous liquid slowly dripped from these stumps but never hit the floor below it. The liquid dropped just so far from the doll and disappeared in mid air.

As Rosa looked at the doll in morbid curiosity the foulest stench she had ever experienced reached her nose. She instantly knew it was this doll and she knew she had to have it.

A look of intense greed sprung into her eyes. And all she could do was focus on the doll. The imp snorted and rolled his eyes.

"You don't even know what it does yet and you covet it like this." He shook his head in pity, tossed the doll to her, and instantly began to fade away.

"What about instructions!?"

"It will tell you if you can wake it up. Get stronger before you try or command another to do so. If you want to use the other item it will be with me for six months after that you forfeit your chance to use it."

She nodded her head as her eyes stayed fixated on the doll. 'So I still have that for backup.' She called over one of her thralls.

"Wake this up."

It did as it had been told. The thrall, who used to be a good enchanter turned to dust as the right stumped arm rose ever so slightly. As the dust settled on the ground the arm lowered.

Rosa gulped. That had been one of her strongest thralls. She nodded. She would definitely get stronger.

Hazel was sitting in her lab a bit distracted when she suddenly felt Harry pull her then pull her even harder a second time. The dimensional door was open before she had fully stood up. When she walked through she was in front of her old friend, the whomping tree. She frowned at its agitation and then saw her brother.

"Friend wait! This is my brother." Her hand stayed extended and her eyes remained on the tree. "Harry what's going on?"

"A huge dog took Ron…"

He was cut off by a yell.

"Sorry friend we need to enter. All secrets inside will remain secret I solemnly swear."

"I solemnly swear."

Hazel and Hermione looked to Harry. He shook his head.

"Dumbledore may need to know."

Both girls pursed their lips.

"Do you really believe that there is anything within his school that he does not know?"

After a short moment Harry swore too and all three slid below the massive tree.

Harry and Hermione took out their wands. Harry frowned at his sister.

"Hazel take out your wand."

She shook her head. "I don't know what's going on but uncle Sirius wouldn't hurt us."

"Uncle Sirius what are you talking…"

Harry abruptly stopped talking when they heard Ron moan. The three looked to each other and moved as one in the direction of the sound. Ron was on the floor with his back against the wall and his rat Scabbers in his hands. He was looking behind them. Hazel frowned and as she turned she spoke.

"Uncle Sirius what's going on?"

The huge dog in the corner rose into a man, their uncle Sirius. Hazel moved to help Ron. Sirius pulled out a wand.

"I am here for him. He betrayed your parents!" Everyone except for Hazel was confused.

"He is talking about Scabbers. He is Peter Pettigrew."

"What? No he's not!"

"Ron. Scabbers has lived far longer than any rat ever could."

"But.."

Professor Lupin suddenly rushed in.

"He really is Peter Pettigrew isn't he?"

"Yes"

Hazel and Sirius answered at the same time. Hazel healed Ron's leg.

"This will do you until you get to the nurse. Let him go so we can change him back. You have been a rat for a very long time haven't you sir?"

Sirius laughed. The rat bit Ron and ran. Hazel was faster. She had an incantation already brewing on the tip of her tongue. It hit the rat in its rear and it instantly transformed into a short round man with a twitching nose and mouth.

Before he could move or speak Hazel had him tied up and hanging in the air. Hazel was frowning, not at Pettigrew but at Professor Lupin. Professor Snape ran in with his wand raised and his eyes moved about the room and froze on Pettigrew.

Hazel turned back to Professor Lupin. "There is a Full moon tonight." She said it calmly as she took out her En Dimension wand. "Somnum!" Hazel's voice resonated within the room and just as Professor Lupin's eyes went wide and hair began to sprout on his body he fell asleep and the transformation halted.

Sirius caught Professor Lupin before he hit the floor and looked at Hazel with concern.

"He's okay. I didn't want him to change so I put him into a hibernative state. We can take him to Madame Pompfry and I can administer the potion to him tomorrow."

She spoke to Sirius but never took her eyes off of Pettigrew. Snape moved to her side but never spoke. She cooked her head to the right.

"My brother and I have a few questions for you. But first we need to do something important."

Pettigrew disappeared and Hazel turned to Ron.

"Come Rom we Will get you and Professor Lupin to Madame Pompfry."

Harry went to help his best friend up.

"No. You and Hermione have things to do. You as well uncle I can handle these two myself."

"And what of me?"

She looked to Professor Snape.

"I did not think that you would want to help. Your animosity runs a bit deep Professor."

"He is a fellow professor all the same. I will help."

Hazel nodded and looked to her uncle.

"Sorry I can not give Pettigrew over until I talk with him first."

He nodded in understanding and smiled. He stepped forward and her magic automatically took Lupin he looked at his friend suspended slightly in the air then looked to her.

"I merely wanted a hug." And before she could respond he hugged her tightly.

He pulled Harry into the embrace.

"Your parents would be so proud of you two."

He looked to Professor Snape.

"Please take care of them."

"The dementors uncle Sirius. Just wait with us a bit longer."

He shook his head.

"I will be okay. I don't want to bring any of you into this. We have Pettigrew. That's all I wanted."

Harry stepped to him.

"You could never bring us into this. Voldemort did that long ago when he killed our parents."

Sirius smiled and nodded then transfigured into the large dog and ran from the building but towards Hogsmeade and not Hogwarts.

She turned to Hermione and Harry.

"You still need to help him and save Buckbeak." She looked to Hermione. "I think three turns should be sufficient. I will take them both to Madame Pompfry and work on a potion with Professor Snape while we wait for you."

Hermione nodded. "Three turns, got it. Come on Harry."
