Larah was still holding Hope. The tiredness had made her face hang down and she was barely keeping her eyes open. She laid down on the bed and regarded Hope with bright eyes as she started speaking:
'Funny wouldn't you say? She is not even my daughter and yet I treat her like my child..'
'There is nothing wrong with that Larah, really!'
'So will you be the father, hahahah? Was just joking.' She moved her eyes from Hope to Dean. 'You heard that Nicole, what will we do?'
'I don't know. If what she said is right, then … Let's wait till this battle is over' – The cries of people filled the corridors. Some persons stormed inside the room, startling Dean
'What is happening? Why is everyone here?' A woman who had entered with he group of persons replied:
'I am sure when you came o this hospital you saw a lot of people in front of it, well we must hide somewhere. Some decided to enter the hospital and others chose the forest behind the hospital. For my taste the hospital is better because the military will be protecting it! Who knows what lies the forest?' The room was packed to the point that it could not accommodate persons anymore. And even the corridor was in a bad shape.
'Dean', Larah called out. 'I must pee!'
'Me too! Let's head out from here!'
Nicole entered the room where the briefing was taking place.
'Seems like you are ready', she noted, staring upon the soldiers and Commander Nootra who was heading towards her.
'Please hand the new two a weapon they want!'
'Will they be strong enough?'
'They have no other choice! And to the others, we march!'
And so he left the chamber, leaving Nicole, Sark and Jessie behind.
'I assume you two belong to Dean and Larah right?'
'Yes!', Sark replied. 'Your voice! You do not really sound pleased!'
'A sharp man, just like your friend, They are alive and hiding but you two will not be hiding!' She strolled to the end of the room and pushed a red button. Right away the wall split into two. Nicole stepped to the side, revealing the countless weapon hanging on the wall. There was really everything.
'Pick your weapon. And just keep in mind if you lose control', she bared her fangs, 'I will take care of you. (Sark: So she's also one of these monsters!) So don't worry!'
The people had cleared the space before the hospital. There the soldier had set their barricade. The weapons where prepared and the soldiers were ready. Just in time Commander Nootra and Krus joined them. Krus addressed Commander Nootra:
'Where is the special force. I only see regular soldiers!'
'I sent the special force beta (soldiers who wields the special weapons to the hospital in case a ghoul or whatever makes its way there! And special force alpha (human who were once immune ones) are heading to the forest to evade a pin attack. And I think it will be easier for them to use their power if they are not fighting in the hospital. However, why do you need them if you have the greatest weapon right, hahahahah?'
'How could I forget', Krus reminded himself, 'You are a Celestial, the rank right after queen/king. As long the enemy don't have someone on that level we should not worry!'
'Yeah, I also hope I don't have to use my 2nd transformation! There they are, the bastards!' The ghouls were in sigh and they were a lot of ghouls even some deformed ones. The deformed ones were the ghouls who had merged together. They had gained size and some even more limbs, but they looked anything but beautiful. Some would have to face others arms protruding out of the backs and more. One of these deformed ones shot forth. The soldiers had been ready for ghouls but this creepy giant breathed fear into them. It was short but enough for the ghoul to close the distant.
Commander Nootra stepped to the front and went into a transformation. His claws gained in size just like his body which covered in thick black furs … He turned into a might werewolf. He didn't waste time and shot forth, right at the ghoul. The ghouls swung its three arms at Commander Nootra who decided his right arm would be enough. He extended the crawls on that one arm and swiped it at the ghoul, destroying the three arm immediately. Then he packed the ghouls neck and bit off the head and spat it to the ground. A strong cry of the werewolf followed, numbing the fear of his comrades.
They all bellowed and opened the fire at the ghouls who had closed in. Yet, not one bullet ever hit Commander Nootra.
In the hospital
A couple had been crazy enough to have a hot time between them. They were right now in the basement making out. They kissed, let themselves loose and indulged in lust. They started undressing when they heard a banging. They glanced around but spotted nothing. The banging returned, this time stronger and that's when they realized the banging was coming from below them. Just then a hand shot out he ground and as the person was fighting his way through the concrete, the couple was watching.
'Should we not no?', the woman proposed.
'Why, that's the hand of a human!'
'And since when can humans break concrete with their hands?'
'Well, since the moon has turned fucking red!' As they continued their dispute the person had broken through and revealed himself. It was John
'See babe, I told your it's a human!' They stared at John and realized had not come alone. Behind him ghouls were making their way to the surface. And before the couple could react in time, John drew in and broke their necks.
