Jones pulled out his phone. His fingers flew across the screen as he sent a quick, blunt message to Myers.
-Kael wants her out ASAP. No media, no leaks. Make them stay quiet. Use any means to take full control of everything. And he wanted all her records, audio or video. Delete everything else.-
Myers replied to give him some time for negotiation. Money was on the line, and it wasn't a problem to them.
Inside the station, Diandra sat stiffly in the chair across the desk. The metal handcuffs biting into the delicate skin of her wrists. The cold steel had left faint red marks, and she winced every so often as she shifted uncomfortably.
Her eyes flicked around, quietly observing, mentally cataloging everything from the buzzing fluorescent lights to the way the officers glanced her way and whispered when they thought she wasn't listening.
