Suhee looked at me, her tone cold as she replied, "Why should I ever forgive you? You lied to me."
Right after she said that, the power went out. Mr. Park immediately sensed something was wrong. He didn't say much, just told us to come with him. He took us to the room where the village chief was in.
Not long after we got there, the hospital went into lockdown. Armed men in masks had entered. Mr. Park knew they were coming for us. He quickly told me to take everyone to the basement where the car was parked. He said he'd distract them and catch up with us later.
We used the emergency stairs. The village chief was with us, unconscious, and Ms. Chaeyoon stayed back with Mr. Park. We were carrying the chief down with us. When we reached the ground floor and tried to open the emergency exit door, it was locked. The village chief had been admitted on the third floor, so we had come down a couple floors already.
We kept going and reached the first floor. Thankfully, the emergency exit there was open. We went out and found Ms. Chaeyoon waiting for us, but Mr. Park wasn't with her. She said he had split up again to lead the armed men away. Then we used the normal stairs to get to the basement parking.
We carefully placed the village chief in the back seat and buckled him in. Ms. Chaeyoon told us to drive off. She said Mr. Park would join us later. Suhee got upset when she heard this. She didn't want to leave without her dad. She begged us to wait a few minutes.
Luckily, just before we were about to leave, Mr. Park arrived. He quickly got in, took the wheel, and drove off.
At first, everything seemed fine. No one was following us. But once we got out onto the main road, a suspicious car started tailing us. It sped up, came in front of us, and suddenly hit the brakes. Mr. Park braked hard to avoid crashing.
Then, another car came up from behind and blocked us in.
We were trapped. Before we could react, someone broke the window and reached in. They grabbed us and injected something into us.
Everything went dark.
