A new day began. "Enis, time to get up," I called after preparing breakfast. "Let me sleep more; my head's still spinning," she mumbled, pulling the blanket tighter. Clearly, she was hungover. With no other choice, I dragged Enis out of bed and carried her to the bathroom to wash her face. "Let go of me!" she protested. "Quiet down and come with me," I said, carrying her to sober up. Looks like I'll have to keep her away from alcohol in the future. After she washed her face and sobered up a bit, I carried her to the dining room, sat her down, and started slicing bread and pouring milk. Half-asleep, Enis ate slowly. By the time she finished, she was mostly awake. "So, what are you teaching me today?" she asked. "Let me think. You have a sword, right? How about swordsmanship?" I suggested. "You know swordsmanship? I thought you were just a mage," I said, surprised. "Of course I do. You think I've lived thousands of years for nothing?" Enis replied smugly. "Alright, let's see what you've got," I said, half-doubting.We tidied up and went to the garden's open space. "What sword will you use?" I asked. "Doesn't matter," she said, conjuring a beautiful longsword. "Your sword's gorgeous! I want one too," I said. "Sure," she replied, crafting a similar sword for me. "Now we each have a matching pair, like husband and wife," Enis laughed. "Ready, begin!" I took the initiative and attacked, but somehow my sword fell to the ground. What happened? I picked it up and attacked again, but the moment Enis dodged, my sword dropped again. "I can't let my husband be this weak," she teased. "I underestimated you. Time to get serious," I said, activating my flash-step and body-enhancement magic, boosting my physical state. I charged at her faster, but before I could get close, Enis had her sword at my neck. How was that possible? She'd already won. "You lost again," she said with a smile. "I surrender. I underestimated you. Please train me strictly," I admitted, defeated. "Even that hero who invaded the demon realm was stronger than you," Enis added. "Heroes? You've met them? What happened?" I asked eagerly. "Stronger than you, but still weak as bugs to me. They trespassed in my garden, so I taught them a lesson and sent them back," she said casually. "I see. Looks like I can't join them," I said, scratching my head. "Why join them? You're with me. You promised not to leave," Enis said, a bit upset. "Of course, I won't leave you. I just wanted to know how my teammates are doing," I reassured her. "Fine, I can take you to the human world to check on them," she said playfully. "Really? It's a deal! Let's go tomorrow. For now, training comes first," I said excitedly. "Alright, let's continue," Enis said, raising her sword. We trained diligently in the garden. Enis taught me instincts, attack techniques, dodging, and counterattacks. I practiced earnestly, and she gradually increased the intensity. By the end of the day, I could hold my own at about a 3:7 ratio. During lunch, I made burgers with lemonade, and we ate heartily. After lunch, I rested on Enis's lap, took a short nap, and resumed training until evening. With plenty of ingredients at home, we didn't need to gather supplies and could focus on training in the courtyard. "Don't lose focus when striking. Aim precisely where you want to hit, and don't let your sword waver," Enis instructed. I concentrated on my sword, making each move crisp. Finally, I exploited a gap and nicked Enis's clothing. "Not bad, you're improving," she praised. "But it's not enough. You need to be faster." "Yes, ma'am!" I attacked fiercely, exhausted but persistent. The moon hung unchanging in the sky, and I lost track of time until my stomach growled, reminding me we'd missed dinner. "Sorry, Enis, I forgot to make dinner. Let's stop here," I said, dragging my tired body to the kitchen. Seeing me, Enis offered to help. "No, you trained with me all day and must be tired. Rest," I said. "Don't be so polite. Nothing makes me happier than being with you. Fatigue vanishes when we're together," she said with a smile. Unable to refuse, I let her help. We made simple chicken stew, vegetable salad, and croissants. "Let's eat," we said in unison, praying before the meal. In this world, there's no TV, no internet, no phones, but I'm truly happy. After dinner, Enis asked me to prepare bathwater while she washed the dishes. Feeling guilty, I complied. After filling the tub, I found her struggling with the dishes, unfamiliar with the task. Smiling, I helped her. In the training field, she was the master; in the kitchen, I was. I taught her how to scrub, and soon she washed as cleanly as I did. We bathed together, now used to being open with each other. Back in the bedroom, "Turn over, I'll massage you," Enis said. Touched, I complied. Her gentle massage relaxed me completely. When she finished, I offered to massage her, mimicking her technique. She enjoyed it comfortably. Afterward, we shared an intimate moment.Later, as I held her, I said, "Your swordsmanship is as strong as your magic. Did your father teach you?" "No, the Demon Emperor taught me when I was young," she replied. "So, the Demon King's a swordmaster," I said. "He was very kind to me. I still don't want you to fight him," Enis said. "Alright, I'll try to reason with him, maybe resolve things without fighting," I said. "Mm," she smiled, and we fell asleep together.
