The shock on their faces was quite comical and I'd have started laughing if this was a completely different situation. The ones that appeared the most shocked are my father snd grandfather, which made me roll my eyes cause I was certain they've had suspicions which is clearly why they've tried hard to separate us.
"Leave us!" My father said to his council members who all left the room at once, till it was just us four remaining.
I glanced down at lilac to confirm that he was still doing okay. He blinked up st me, looking wary and scared, but also trusting and something pulsed in the middle my my chest as I combed a hand through his hair.
"We'll be done in no time, then we'll leave, okay?" I murmured in a quite voice to him and his eyes brightened as he nodded eagerly.
"What did you mesn you're fated mates? How is that possible?!" My father thundered, pulling my focus back to him and I rolled my eyes In irritation.
