(A/N: I'm back)
In a hallway, Kiana, Bronya, Mei and I followed a small distance away from Himeko as she led us.
It contained a variety of artwork hung on the walls of the hallway, clearly showing that it was a high class restaurant.
Yes. You heard that right.
This Theresa lady wanted to meet us in a restaurant.
While I was expecting more of a meeting in some sort of top secret facility, this was far more preferable, as well as actually the most logical option.
I had already showed that I was somewhat unamiable to their school.
Thus, they wanted to ensure that I wasn't tense and as a result, more antagonistic towards them.
At the same time, I was sure they knew that the girls were quite interested. Therefore, this was catering towards them as well.
Though don't think for a second I didn't suspect that their corporation owned this restaurant, which was a Miche- Homu Star restaurant in Nagazora.
No way they let any info be potentially leaked out…
Right?
Since this was a high class place, I put on clothes that weren't too bad looking, but were also free enough to not hinder me should I get in a fight.
At the same time, the girls wore slightly prettier outfits than normal. Still, they listened when I told them to be prepared in case a fight broke out so their outfits were similar.
Himeko herself was dressed in a relatively casual attire in my opinion, which was surprising since I thought that those in the military usually needed to dress up a bit more formal than that.
But then again, that super armour she wore a while ago…
Is there any more that needs to be said about that?
"Psst."
I shifted my gaze to the soft whisper next to me, only to be met with Kiana's serious face.
"What?"
She hurriedly snuck a glance at Himeko walking in front of us before blocking her mouth and whispering to me again.
"Are they treating us for the meal later?"
"Hopefully." I answered without shifting my expression. "I want to order the lobster and the oxtail later."
"What? They have that here?" Excitement was visible on Kiana's face. "I'm getting those too!"
Mei sighed as she heard our little convo.
"Gojo, can't you order them normally anyways? With the amount you have…"
A smile appeared on my face. "You don't understand Mei. When I eat on someone elses tab, it always tastes better."
"I know right!"
"The Bronya thought that Asians always fought over who got to pay the bill?"
"Not this Asian."
"True. Gojo is… special."
"Guys. We're here."
Himeko's voice interrupted our short talk as she came to a stop in front of the double front doors in front of us.
It was very meticulously crafted, but I wasn't too interested in that right now.
A loud creak signalled the opening of the twin doors.
The sunlight shone in through the windows from the room, causing all of us to squint our eyes for a brief moment as our vision readjusted.
Theresa Apocalypse huh.
This will be our first meeting.
Will this be the start of a wonderful relationship or something else? Who knew?
Wait… why did that sound a lot better in my head.
As my vision cleared up, I immediately looked for Theresa in the room, only to be met with…
Nothing?
I blinked a few times in confusion before…
"Good afternoon."
A greeting?
And it came from in front of me?
But there was nobody…
Oh.
I shifted my gaze down to be met with a pair of bright blue eyes…
From a little girl in a nun outfit?
She had a smile on her face as half of her head was poking up above the table. However, I could see the clear annoyance in her eyes as she tried to make herself look more majestic despite her… well…
You know what I mean.
First impressions?
Kinda confused, but at the same time… not really.
I should have expected something like this at some point honestly.
I shouldn't keep her waiting though. Not answering immediately would be rude(something I didn't mind being, but there's a time for everything here).
The slight surprise on my face was quickly hidden as a smile came back once more.
"Good afternoon."
I answered without a single lapse in my voice.
"Are you Principal Theresa Apocalypse that Ms. Himeko has told me about?"
My politeness seemed to have pleased the girl in front of me as the smile immediately became brighter.
She hopped off her chair quickly as she came in front of me and the girls.
"Thank you, Major, for bringing them here." Theresa said as she gave a nod to Himeko.
So that's her rank huh?
Major.
I didn't think too much about it for now though as I compartmentalised that for later.
"No problem." A thumbs up came along with her response. I seemed to feel a glare of resentment coming from the same direction though.
I wonder why?
"Wait! You're really Auntie Himeko's bo-"
Our beloved white-haired goofball didn't get to finish her words as Mei and Bronya immediately gagged her and pulled her aside.
"Sorry."/"Apologies."
But despite that, the damage was done.
Himeko's spirit seemed to have left her body as she just stood there like she was frozen solid.
In the meantime, Theresa herself…
Her eyes were closed as the sides of her lips twitched from hearing that.
Theresa… why are you trying not to laugh?
That's disrespectful as shit bruh.
But as everyone was reacting, Kiana sent me a wink.
Hehe.
Nice job Kiana.
And then…
"Guys! Why are you stopping me! That little kid hasn't answe- jashfkjhksadfj"
Ooh. They didn't stop her in time before she could get another word out.
Any sense of mirth from Theresa's face disappeared like a puff of smoke as her smile became incredibly forced.
A tick mark was basically visible on her head as a vein bulged on her forehead. All during this, her eyes were locked onto Kiana like she was contemplating what to do to her.
Hmm…
Interesting.
In a sense, I will say that this reaction was a lot more reassuring than anything else…
Well. I guess it's time for me to step in.
"Ms Theresa." I blocked her view of Kiana. "Don't bother with her. She's just a little tense right now."
Yeah I know that's bullshit.
Theresa and Himeko knew that it was bullshit.
But it gave everyone a step down at this moment.
Now let's see the response shall we?
If this person wasn't an idiot, then it would be very good for us right now.
A cough emerged from Theresa's throat as she took a deep breath. It merely took a few moments before she regained her calm.
"I understand." She started. "I should apologise for asking for this meeting on such short notice as well."
She gestured to the chairs as a textbook pleasant smile sneaked its way back once more.
"Take a seat everyone. This meal will be on us so eat as much as you want."
At that, I heard a small, amused sigh from Mei behind me as Kiana did a soft cheer(clearly being held back by Bronya and Mei at this time).
As for me?
I did say that I was really starving for lobster and oxtail no?
Yum…
