Chapter 12 - ch 12

"Da twig back! me got him!" Globraun charges forward, much to the detriment of his leaders rapidly rising blood pressure. "Fall back you damn brute!" But the giant did not head the warning. Gabe leaps over an swiping attack from the lumbering goblin. Globraun stumbles forward, now off balanced due to motion carrying him forward. "Here, let me help you get acquainted with the ground!" Gabe's feet land on the green back. Before anyone could process what was happening, the giant falls flat on his face while the tree creature takes to the air once more.

The lanky goblin smirks as he finds the target within his throwing range. "A twig with no wit cant beat us! only make easier to KILL!" Bongi draws his weapons, polished and gleaming with a sharpness sure to cut through trees

WHACK!

Yet before the curved blades could leave his grip, he felt an impact on the back of his head. Eyes rolling, the goblin collapses to the floor, unconscious for the time being. "You traitor! After all I have done to raise you to power!" the tribe leader bristles with fury as he watches his shaman slam his staff into the back of his subordinates head. The shaman in question turns to face his previous leader. "Sorry boss, but living under thumb not accomplish dream."

"Dream? DREAM!?" The leader lets out an unhinged laugh filled with malice and contempt. "YOU betrayed ME just for some fantasy you believe in!?" The rusted blade is hefted from its resting place as the leader blitzes Gobsung. "Wake up! those myths were LIES. They do not care for us! if they had, why do so many fail right at the end!?" Swing after swing impacts the staff as Gobsung defends.

On the other side of the room, another fight was going on. "STAY STILL!" Globraun's fist impacts the ground once more as Gabe hovers out of his range time and again. No amount of boar would ever satisfy the rage the goblin giant was feeling. And the taunting from the twig was no better. "You look a little pale their. You want me to wait while you go catch the sun?" Another swipe lashes out in response. Gabe limbos under the swing as it sails past his face. "Nice try tons of fun, next time eat some leaves." "Me get Leaves from YOU!" A punch flies forward, yet this one was much slower than the previous few.

"What a maroon. Cant even see I am intentionally tiring him out. Certainly not gonna tell him though, that's for sure." The back and forth of swinging and dodging continued for a few more minutes before the chance Gabe was waiting for came. Globraun pants with exhaustion, his arms lower than they should have been. Now on the offense, Gabe presses forward, a right uppercut launched towards the chin. The Giant doesn't bother raising his arms, confident the attack wont be strong enough and prioritizing rest. "Twig no tough. Me can-" The fist soon connects with its target. Yet the expectations were completely off.

Instead of the green giant being unmoved and slightly rattled, Globraun's head was soon catapulted upward. He staggers backward for about 3 steps before falling onto his back, eyes unfocused. The mana that was coating Gabe's fist dissipates into the surroundings as his attention turns to the goblin duel. Bruises could be seen on the tribe leader's arms, with some appearing on his sides. His watery, bloodshot eyes continue to focus on Gobsung who wasn't faring any better. His staff lays cleaved in two pieces as deep cuts could be seen on the arms. The red eyes turn their gaze to Gabe and the fallen goliath impersonator. The leader scoffs as he mutters "No good help at all these days."

The heavy blade pivots to his shoulder. "I honestly have to commend you. out of aaalll of the enemies I have made in this forest, YOU just might be the most disruptive to my plans." "Well, next time, maybe you should keep your warty friends in check." Energy courses through Gabe's sap veins as it condenses around his fingers. An eyebrow twitch was what he got in response. "I will definitely kill this traitor as slowly as I can later." Blade and claw soon collide, neither gaining the advantage. Gabe's rapid fire claws bounce of the broadside of the great sword, sparks flying. Forcing Gabe back, the Tribe leader rotates, his torso turning as his feet slide against the ground. Gabe tilts back, the blade nicking him across the chest.

A quick kick to the chest creates distance between the hobgoblin and tree creature. The two stare each other down, contemplating their next move. "YeeeaaAAAAA!" Out of nowhere, a sonic burst crashes into the hobgoblin, sending him off the wooden stage.
