Chapter 48 - Chapter 45: 0.2 !

(My readers dont forgot to guve your attendance here with either gojo or battlebeast gif.)

….

The moment Gojo whispered the words "Unlimited Void," reality for Battle Beast didn't slowly twist or warp. It wasn't like watching a dream change.

Instead, in less time than it takes to blink a tiny, almost immeasurable fraction of a second, just 0.2 seconds to be exact Battle Beast was already inside Gojo's Domain.

Of course, to Battle Beast, the world around him didn't suddenly look like a crazy, psychedelic space.

The ruined industrial area, the rubble, Gojo standing before him it all looked the same.

The true nature of Unlimited Void, the endless expanse of pure information, was something only Gojo's Who can use Cursed Energy could truly perceive, or perhaps someone like Darkblood with his demonic senses. But Darkblood wasn't here.

So, one tiny instant, Battle Beast was roaring, ready to charge, axe raised, his mind filled with the thrill of the fight. The very next tiny instant, without any warning or visible change in his surroundings, he was hit with... everything.

It wasn't a physical blow. It was something far, far worse for a creature like him.

Imagine every piece of information in the entire universe every thought, every sight, every sound, every smell, every touch, every taste, every possibility, every action, every reaction, from the beginning of time to the end of it all of it, all at once, flooding into his mind.

Not one after another, but all at the exact same micro-second, and then again, and again, an infinite number of times within that 0.2-second window.

Even for a being as incredibly tough and battle-hardened as Battle Beast, whose mind was built for combat and survival, not deep philosophical thought, this was simply too much.

His brain, his very consciousness, wasn't designed to process an infinite amount of information an infinite number of times. It was like trying to pour the entire ocean into a teacup, all at once.

He didn't have time to react. He couldn't swing his axe. He couldn't even finish the roar that was building in his throat.

He couldn't fully understand what was happening to him before his mind was completely and utterly overwhelmed.

In that split-second inside the Domain though it felt like years of input to his brain all at once, Battle Beast froze mid-stance.

His eyes, which had been burning with wild, battle-hungry fire, suddenly went wide, then completely vacant, like the lights had just gone out.

His massive, powerful body, which had been tensed and ready for action, went completely limp. His brain had, for all intents and purposes, short-circuited.

And just as quickly as it had begun, the 0.2 seconds were over. The Domain, Unlimited Void, vanished as if it had never been.

They were back in the ruined industrial zone.

Or, more accurately, for Battle Beast, it probably felt like he'd never even left the spot he was standing on, even though his mind had just been taken on an impossible journey of many years or ecen decades worth of information all at once.

Battle Beast stood there, a giant, furry statue. His axe was still raised, but his grip was slack. He was like a puppet whose strings had all been cut at the same time.

He was completely catatonic, completely unresponsive. A little bit of drool might have even started to leak from the corner of his still-grinning mouth, his eyes wide and unfocused, seeing nothing.

He was alive, yes, but mentally not so much alive and physically well he was good, at least for now, he was completely out of commission.

Gojo stood near the now-motionless Battle Beast. The sharp, predatory smile he'd worn just moments before was gone, replaced by his usual casual, almost slightly bored expression.

He casually dusted off his hands, as if he'd just finished some minor chore, like taking out the trash.

Internally, Gojo made a quick mental note. 'Yep, the 0.2-second Domain Expansion is still a winner,' he thought. 'Perfect for taking down super-strong opponents without having to smash them into tiny pieces or level half the city. Quick, clean, efficient.'

He remembered how even super-powerful cursed spirits like Mahito, or special grades like Choso, had been able to move again after after getting hit by 0.2 seconds domain and then in about ten minutes began to move.

That was because of their own insane levels of cursed energy and their ability to use Reverse Cursed Technique to heal their brain. Battle Beast, for all his physical might, didn't have that kind of mental defense.

Gojo then let out a cheerful sound, clapping his hands together once. He walked over and gave Battle Beast's massive, furry shoulder a friendly pat. "Too easy, big guy, too easy," he said with a smile, his voice light and conversational.

"Don't you worry your furry little head. It's just a little mental reboot. You'll be up and about in a day or two, good as new. Well, maybe with a bit of a headache, but other than that, nothing serious! I really hope I lived up to all your excitement. You know, a real battle isn't just about who can punch harder; it's a mind game too. Hope that little trip satisfied your thirst for a good fight!"

Then, Gojo remembered their "bet." He looked down at the completely unconscious Battle Beast, a playful smirk returning to his face.

"So," he mused, tapping his chin, "about those pink kitty cat ears we talked about... Hmm. You know what? Let's save that for later. It wouldn't be nearly as much fun to make you wear them while you're not even awake to appreciate how adorable you look."

He then considered what to do with the giant, unconscious cat-warrior. Just leaving him here in the middle of a wrecked industrial zone wasn't really an option.

And he couldn't just drag him back to the Guardians' base without some explanation.

Then, Gojo's mind clicked.

'Wait a minute,' he thought, his smirk widening. 'I won. And I won the bet! That means, technically, he has to listen to me now, right? I mean, a guy like Battle Beast, honor is probably a super big deal to him not probably he freaking lost to thragg because of his honour in that fight.'

Gojo casually strolled over and picked up Battle Beast's enormous axe. It was surprisingly heavy, but he managed to twirl it a little, looking thoughtful.

Now, how to "collect" his winnings, meaning, how to get Battle Beast somewhere secure without too much fuss?

Gojo pulled out his phone the one he'd "forgotten" was on Do Not Disturb earlier and quickly dialed a number. It was probably Robot, or maybe he went straight to the top and called Cecil.

"Hey, Cecil, my favorite overworked government man! It's Gojo, your number one, super-duper, most awesome superhero, just checking in!" Gojo said, his voice way too cheerful for someone who'd just been in a potentially world-ending fight.

Cecil's tired, annoyed voice crackled on the other end, probably asking for a situation report.

"Good news, Cecil! The big, fluffy furball who almost, uh... well, I don't know if I can really call him 'Invincible' anymore after he got his butt handed to him like that, but anyway, the problem is... uh... resolved! Yep! All taken care of! He's just taking a little nap right now. So, I'm gonna pick him up and take him back to our base. Why, you ask? Well, it's simple, really. He's gonna be working with me now. We made a bet, see?"

Before Cecil could probably even start yelling or lecturing him about bringing a barely-understood alien powerhouse to their headquarters, Gojo quickly ended the call. He just managed to catch the last few words from Cecil on the other side.

Something about... Invincible's mother?

Omni-Man's wife?

Apparently, she wanted to meet Gojo. He didn't catch the reason why because he'd hung up too fast. 'Oh well,' Gojo thought with a shrug.

He'd definitely cut the call because he knew Cecil would have a million objections and a very long, very boring lecture about taking Battle Beast back to the Guardians' base.

Not like he cares… but what's good about giving an attitude to an overwork human with hairs gone from his head and side hair gray.

….

A/N: So how was it? I know it was short and what not. But oh well chapter is a chapter. There is gonna be a big time skip to where omni-man fight invincible in few chapters… so brace yourself for that.
