As night fell, the cocoon of icy blue light with a lotus flower atop it in the dormitory room of Wang Dong, Wang Feng, and Huo Yuhao continued to glow quietly.
As the night grew deeper, time passed without disturbance. The auras of Huo Yuhao, Wang Feng, and Wang Dong slowly began to undergo a strange transformation—the colors of their auras intertwined and merged. Even their soul power began to enter one another's bodies, forming a mysterious cycle that followed a unique trajectory every time the colors shifted.
Normally, when entering a martial soul fusion state, it would take at least three days and nights to achieve full synchronization—especially with three people involved. However, under the guidance of the Ethereal Lotus, which helped them align their soul power flows based on the sensing of each other's auras, the time was drastically shortened.
The night passed without conversation, and the sky gradually lightened to signal the arrival of dawn.
The icy blue cocoon slowly faded, revealing the scene inside. The lotus flower atop the cocoon gradually merged back into Wang Feng's body.
At this moment, Wang Feng, Huo Yuhao, and Wang Dong were still tightly embracing one another. Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong's faces were pressed close to Wang Feng's, and the three of them were practically glued together. They could hear each other's breathing; their ears brushed lightly against one another. They all slept soundly—very soundly.
The morning sun began to peek into the dorm room, sweeping away the lingering traces of mystical energy still hanging in the air. The cocoon had completely disappeared, leaving only three bodies tangled together—their breathing synchronized, their heartbeats thudding in the same rhythm.
The warm sunlight gently caressed their faces, causing their eyelashes to tremble slightly. Before long, the outside of the dormitory began to grow noisy as other students woke up and bustled about cleaning themselves.
The growing noise gradually affected the two who were sleeping lightly, but Wang Feng remained fast asleep, completely undisturbed by the clamor outside. The first to stir was Wang Dong.
"Mmm..." Wang Dong let out a soft hum, his voice sounding lazy and faintly tender.
Wang Dong slowly opened his eyes, his gaze still clouded with sleepiness. The first thing he saw was Wang Feng's face, so close to his own that he could feel Wang Feng's warm breath on his skin. In an instant, his awareness snapped into place, and his face flushed bright red.
"W-what...?" Wang Dong gasped softly, though his body remained limp, allowing him only minimal movement.
Even that small movement was enough to rouse Huo Yuhao, who also slowly opened his eyes. He too quickly realized the situation—they were all still tightly embraced, in a... very awkward position.
Huo Yuhao's eyes widened, and then slowly turned red. He nearly cried out, but bit his lip hard to hold it back.
The two of them tried to wriggle free from Wang Feng's arms, but Wang Feng only hugged them tighter.
"Wang Feng, wake up. We're going to be late," Wang Dong muttered softly.
However, Wang Feng only let out a sleepy groan, his face looking serene, as though reluctant to leave the warmth. His embrace tightened even further, leaving Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong at their wits' end.
"What do we do...?" Huo Yuhao whispered, his face flushed all the way to his ears.
But when they glanced downward, both of them froze solid. There was something... suspiciously protruding from Wang Feng's pants, making both of them turn as red as boiled crabs. Wang Dong completely stiffened in place, while Huo Yuhao held his breath in a panic.
Even though it was restrained by his pants, the 'rod' was shockingly long and large—almost half the length of one of their forearms. (You mentioned you would add to this later when Wang Feng hugs Yuhao again in chapter 30+.)
They exchanged panicked, mortified looks, neither daring to make a sound, terrified they might wake Wang Feng.
"Sh-should we... wake him up more forcefully?" Huo Yuhao whispered so quietly it was barely audible, his face practically steaming from the heat.
Wang Dong bit his lower lip, trying to suppress his embarrassment and panic. He slowly lifted his hand and hesitantly patted Wang Feng's cheek very lightly.
"Uh... Wang Feng... wake up..." Wang Dong whispered in an impossibly soft voice, as if afraid of waking a monster.
But Wang Feng still didn't react, only tilting his head slightly to find a more comfortable position, pressing them even closer into his embrace.
Wang Dong gritted his teeth, his cheeks burning. Finally, he made a bold decision—he grabbed Wang Feng's cheeks with both hands and pulled them to the left and right.
"Wang Feng, WAKE UP!" Wang Dong half-whispered, half-hissed.
"Ow..." Wang Feng groaned in pain, finally opening his eyes slowly, revealing one clear golden eye and one clear crimson eye, still heavy with sleepiness. He blinked a few times, looking dazed.
"Wang... Dong?" he mumbled, still half-asleep.
Wang Feng's still-groggy eyes slowly swept across the scene in front of him. Wang Dong's flushed face was only a few inches away, while on the other side, Huo Yuhao looked like he wanted to sink into the ground from embarrassment. Only then did Wang Feng realize that his arms were tightly wrapped around their waists.
"You guys... why are you here—" His words cut off when a strange sensation from his lower body caught his attention. Wang Feng frowned and instinctively shifted his hips slightly. That...?
In an instant, all the blood in his body seemed to rush to one place. His face turned red in a matter of seconds.
"Sorry!" He let go of them as if struck by lightning, stumbling backward until he hit the bed's headboard.
Without realizing it, his sudden movement caused the "rod" to get even closer to Wang Dong and Huo Yuhao's faces.
The two of them nearly jumped back like cats splashed with cold water, their faces completely chaotic with embarrassment.
At that moment, a sharp ringing sound echoed, reminding them that they were already late.
"I-I'll go first!" Wang Dong and Huo Yuhao stammered, saying it almost at the same time. They both jumped out of bed as fast as they could, nearly colliding mid-air, before sprinting out of the room.
"Wait—" Wang Feng reached out to call them back, but they had already fled without paying any attention to him.
Wang Feng, in a panic, could only wait for his lower body to calm down before he could chase after them.
Finally, once his "problem" subsided, Wang Feng quickly left the room and rushed to catch up to Wang Dong and Huo Yuhao to apologize.
None of the three had time to bathe or fix their messy clothes.
They all sprinted as fast as they could, with Wang Feng pushing himself to the limit to catch up to Wang Dong and Huo Yuhao, arriving at the classroom door at the same time as them.
"Reporting, Teacher," Wang Feng said, slightly out of breath.
"Reporting, Teacher," Wang Dong and Huo Yuhao also said hurriedly, heads bowed, their faces still burning red. They both secretly reached around Wang Feng's waist and pinched him hard.
Wang Feng grimaced from the pain but didn't dare scream. He could only put on a stiff smile and hold his breath.
The three of them stood rigidly at the classroom entrance, still panting slightly, their uniforms disheveled, hair messy—looking completely like they had just been chased by wild dogs.
Zhou Yi cast them a glance as sharp as a knife.
"Come in," she said coldly and harshly.
Wang Feng, Wang Dong, and Huo Yuhao swallowed hard at the same time, quickly walking into the classroom while trying to tidy up their uniforms along the way.
The entire class immediately fell silent, staring at the three of them. Most of the students struggled to hold back their laughter at their disastrous appearance.
Zhou Yi banged the table loudly to get everyone's attention. "If you three dare to come in late and looking like this again, the punishment won't just be standing at the door. Understand?"
"Understood, Teacher!" the three of them responded in unison, their voices loud with panic.
Zhou Yi just snorted coldly and began the lesson.
Wang Feng, Wang Dong, and Huo Yuhao hurried to their seats. On the way, Wang Feng tried to apologize to Wang Dong and Huo Yuhao, but both of them turned their faces away awkwardly.
Wang Feng sat down, head lowered, and could only curse himself internally:
How the hell did this kind of thing happen first thing in the morning?!
Meanwhile, Wang Dong and Huo Yuhao, sitting next to each other, were busy avoiding eye contact, their ears still burning bright red.
This morning, the three of them had started their day with an incident they might never forget for the rest of their lives.
