"hmm...that...that does make some sense. But still, I do want to try again. I don't think I got a grasp on intuition fully yet, I wouldn't be able to activate it by myself."
Master Sheng shook his head, "okay, after class come to me. I'll help you personally get a grasp on intuition, able to access it when wanted."
He turned around and held up his hand, the blood pellets which splattered onto the ground spiked up. Then he flicked his wrist up and then swam in the air, wrapping around each person's ear.
Then Master Sheng move this hand to his mouth and whispered,
"Everyone come back now."
He turned around and said to Hamar, "follow me."
Hamar nodded and already sent some aura into his feet. Master Sheng walked forward and used the same technique where each step moved much further than it should.
Similarly, Hamar used his aura footwork to do the same. This wasn't imitation, this was something he had figured out himself; something that was extremely essential to his repertoire of techniques.
He followed behind Master Heng as the world zipped by melting into abstract shapes. Then they instantly stopped, causing the dusty ground to burst a cloud into the sky.
"Imitation?" Master Sheng looked back to Hamar, he had not used this technique in the test and so didn't know Hamar could do it.
"No, I actually created this technique myself. Just so happens to be similar to what you do."
"Great mind think alike... Everyone else should be coming over soon, just wait for a second."
Hamar and Master Sheng looked at the horizon as the four others used their own techniques to get back as fast as possible, another trick of Master Sheng to collect more data.
Jin transformed into a partial liquid form, flying through the air as a worm of blood with a human body and snake like tail of blood.
Hou shot forward by simply running, using some flight laws to help him. Similarly Lan Qiang also ran, but he was faster than Hou.
While Hou had the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique's amplification effect, Lan Qiang just had much more practice and laws. He was a spear user and used many strengths laws whereas Hou was more versatile.
Then finally, Tianmo stood on a constantly moving wave of sand, growing faster from the dusty material that the training ground was made upon.
The first to arrive was Jin, shortly followed by Tianmo and then Hou and Lan Qiang with negligible difference.
"Now that you're all back, I'll heal you all and then we'll go onto spars. The next week we'll just rotate practical training days like this with practice simulations inside."
And so for the next week and a bit, the class continued training intuition. This was creating the base for later learning.
Master Sheng wasn't just supervising though. He also helped individuals in their weaknesses. Notably helping Hamar access his intuition on command.
But also helping others in their specific needs. Such as Hou. Hou could clearly use his intuition with skill but in fighting and practical scenarios it was lacking. To help he trained with Hou personally to create a trigger.
A mental trigger which would cause him to unconsciously use his intuition for a sustained time. For Hou he used a deep blink, one that almost hurts.
Every time he does the action, he would continuously access his intuition allowing him to gain some help in practical scenarios.
But in this training the class figured something out about intuition, it isn't limitless. Each time they used intuition some willpower was used (when used actively) and it strained them.
The more it was accessed, the slower they would think and even start to have trouble using mental energy. However. It didn't change their use of qi.
So while training intuition, the blood pellets exercise also trained mental energy and qi. However, Master Sheng didn't let this go scot-free.
He also showed them the weakness of using qi, as he controlled their qi and dispersed it. As Master Sheng put it, which was similar to Mo Huai's opinion:
"Qi is abundant, QI is powerful. It's a wild mental energy and can be used in much the same way. But try not to rely on it for fighting scenarios, it can be manipulated by anyone, even your enemies. Instead, try to keep QI for uses yourself such as alchemy or techniques that activate beforehand."
By the end of the week, they all gained something new. Whether that was a stronger control over intuition, the penalty of intuition, or the balance between using qi and mental energy when appropriate.
Master Sheng stood in the classroom behind his podium as he spoke,
"And so, this is the end of unit one. This was only one week, but I hope you saw the strength of your foundations. From now on, once a week we'll continue doing intuition training days but that won't be the main focus, can anyone guess what the main focus will be?"
Both Jin and Tianmo shot their hands up, Master Sheng looked and gestured towards Tianmo,
"I have an idea. If you focus on foundations, the next should be me talking energy and qi. Just like how we touched on it this week. We already trained it somewhat, so it's a good continuation."
Master Sheng pointed,
"Good guess, but that is slightly wrong. Just like you said you already got training there. I think you all understand mental energy and the application of using qi when appropriate. So instead the next unit will be on some thing you all might not be aware of...Jin I assume you know now?"
Jin nodded and then said aloud,
"Intent, and the changing of willpower. The infusing of different intents of emotions; and maybe how they can be used when using techniques and laws?"
"Exactly as Jin says. You all know about willpower. You all know about laws. But this is something that many either do not know of, or do not care about. But it's actually a foundation, the intent. Intent is a crucial part of willpower. The will to kill, is very different from the will to help."
