Chapter 217 - Chapter 372: Where's Noah?

The sleeping arrangement for the three sisters, from left to right, was as follows: Noah, Luna, Little Light.

On the surface, it was arranged according to birth order, but in reality, there was more to it.

Noah slept on the outermost side of the big bed, so she could prevent her younger sisters from accidentally falling off in their sleep;

Little Light slept on the innermost side, because that position gave the best view of both her elder sisters, making it convenient for her to watch the fun.

As for why Luna had to sleep in the middle—

Little Light lay flat on the bed, her sleeping posture steady, eyes half-closed, breathing even. And on her soft little belly rested Luna's short legs.

Her shoulder was also being hugged by Second Sister, making her a life-sized pink-haired body pillow.

Little Light knew that Second Sister always liked hugging something while sleeping.

Before Little Light was born, she always hugged Big Sister;

After Little Light was born, she would randomly choose between Big Sister and Little Light, that was why Luna slept in the middle.

To the left was the sweet and soft little sister, to the right was the classic-feel big sister, what the Third Silver Dragon Princess liked best was fair and even affection.

Little Light was already used to this, which was why she could sleep so soundly now.

"Jerky... jerky is so delicious...", Luna hugged Little Light while dreaming, savoring the midnight snack that Noah brought her after dinner.

Little Light didn't react at all, still maintaining her excellent sleeping condition.

This was a skill developed over many years. Unless it was an earthquake, tsunami, or volcanic eruption, Little Light usually wouldn't wake up.

After a while, done hugging Little Sis, Luna wriggled around and turned over, intending to hug Big Sis.

However, when the little dragon girl turned and reached out her arm, she grabbed nothing but air.

Still with her eyes closed, Luna frowned, groping around the spot next to her, but still felt nothing.

'Hiss~ Something's off.'

Normally, a single turn would let her hug Noah, 'Could it be...'

'Did Big Sister fall off the bed?'

Luna sleepily opened her eyes, wriggled a bit under the covers until she reached the edge of the bed, but when she looked down, she still didn't see Noah.

"Big Sis?"

No response.

Luna jolted upright, and using the moonlight streaming in from the floor-to-ceiling window, looked around the room. She tried calling Noah again, "Big Sis?"

Still no response.

Now Luna was really panicking.

She carefully lifted the covers, jumped off the bed, and tiptoed barefoot to the bathroom.

But the bathroom light was off.

And Noah was nowhere else in the room either.

Luna quickly ran back to the bed. She knelt beside Little Light and gently pushed her shoulder,

"Little Light, Little Light, wake up, Big Sis is missing."

The pink-haired dragon girl turned over, her voice muffled like she was sleep-talking, "Mmm~ maybe she just went to the bathroom..."

"No, she's not in the bathroom."

Little Light finally groggily sat up, rubbed her messy pink hair, looked at the bed, then around the room, still not seeing any sign of Noah.

Immediately, Little Light was fully awake.

"Did she go to the dining hall to find food again?", Little Light guessed.

Luna's big eyes were full of worry. Although they were at home and nothing bad should happen, Big Sis had never disappeared in the middle of the night before.

"Then let's go check the dining hall," Luna suggested.

Little Light nodded, "Okay."

The two little dragon girls got out of bed, put on their shoes and clothes, opened the door, tiptoed past their mom and dad's room, then went through the hallway and down the stairs, arriving at the first floor dining hall.

Unfortunately, Noah wasn't there either.

"Big Sis is missing!"

Luna smacked both cheeks with her little palms. In an instant, countless tragic scenes flashed through her little head.

"Could Big Sis have been snatched by a dangerous beast?"

"Or maybe that spatial rift from a long time ago opened again and sucked Big Sis in?"

"Or maybe she doesn't want us anymore and left by herself!"

"Could it be—"

"Second Sis."

Little Light intervened in time, cupping her second sister's soft baby-fat cheeks to stop her from spouting more nonsense.

"First of all, no dangerous beast can get into the Silver Dragon Sanctuary. Dad would turn them into roasted meat in various flavors before they even got close."

"Second, that spatial rift was a long time ago, and Dad took care of it thoroughly."

"Lastly, Big Sis wouldn't leave anyone behind, especially not you, so relax."

With Little Light's comfort, Luna gradually calmed down.

Tears shimmered in the corners of her eyes as she asked with a pitiful look, "Then where would Big Sis go?"

Little Light rubbed her chin, thought for a bit, and replied, "She's been saying lately that she's never full, blaming it on increased training. So maybe... Big Sis is secretly training again at night?"

Luna suddenly understood, nodding repeatedly, "That's possible! Then let's go to the training field to find Big Sis!"

"Mm, okay."

The two little dragon girls rushed from the dining hall straight to the training grounds behind the Sanctuary.

Sure enough, they found Noah under a towering ancient tree.

Luna's eyes lit up and she called out,

"Big Sis! Mmph!"

But before she could shout out, her mouth was covered by Little Light.

Little Light pulled Luna behind a tree, poking her little head out to observe Noah not far away.

"What is it?", Luna asked.

"Look at Big Sis, doesn't look like she's doing regular physical training."

Luna looked over and saw Noah sitting cross-legged under the tree, eyes closed, with an invisible wave of energy gently lifting her hair.

Indeed, it didn't look like physical training. It looked more like she was concentrating her magic.

"Is she doing magic concentration practice?", Luna asked.

Little Light shook her head gravely, "Big Sis's innate magic is lightning element, when concentrating magic, there should be traces of lightning, but there's nothing around her now."

Noah wasn't condensing lightning magic, but strangely, from this distance, the two little dragon girls could clearly sense a faint energy fluctuation.

So what exactly was it...

Just as they were thinking, Noah's voice suddenly rang out, "Who's there?"

The two jumped in fright.

But they still stepped out obediently from behind the tree.

Seeing who it was, Noah finally relaxed her expression.

She stood up and walked toward her sisters.

"What are you two doing out here in the middle of the night instead of sleeping?"

"W-We couldn't find you in the room just now and thought something happened to you, so we came looking..."

"Danger? What kind of danger could Her Maje—ah... what kind of danger could Big Sis encounter?"

Noah said, raising her hand to pat Luna's cheek, "It's nothing, go back to sleep."

"Really, Big Sis?", Luna looked up, her big glistening eyes full of worry.

Noah put one hand on her hip and waved the other, "Really really, now go sleep."

"Then Big Sis, let's go back together," Luna grabbed Noah's hand.

Hearing this, Noah froze slightly, instinctively trying to pull her hand back, but managed to restrain herself.

Her eyes flicked ever so slightly, and then she said, "Ah... sure, let's go."

Saying that, she took Luna's hand and began walking toward the Silver Dragon Sanctuary.

Little Light followed behind them not too far away, staring at Big Sis's back, her expression serious.

'Just now... did Big Sis use some weird way to refer to herself? Or did I mishear?', The pink-haired girl scratched her head in confusion, shook it, and stopped overthinking, quickly catching up.

The three sisters returned to their bedroom. After making sure Luna and Little Light were back in bed, Noah said, "I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be right back."

Luna clutched the blanket, "Then hurry back, Big Sis."

"Mm."

Noah nodded and went into the bathroom.

She carefully closed the door, turned on the light, stood in front of the sink mirror, and looked at her reflection.

The smile on her face slowly faded, replaced by a cold, frosty expression.

This was very different from Noah's usual 'coldness.'

Normal Noah gave off the vibe of playing the role of an adult, a kid pretending to be a grown-up.

But now, her expression and eyes looked more like an old king who had seen all the sorrows and joys of the world, calm and detached.

"Though this body is female just like this king, it's not hard to adapt... but this brat's age is far too young. To fully restore my power will take some time," Noah looked at her own hands, trying to stir the power she had just gathered.

But suddenly, a ringing echoed in her mind.

She rubbed her temple lightly.

"Tch... this brat is that vigilant, huh..."

"After a whole week, this king still can only control this body for less than two hours at a time while she's asleep..."

"Fine then. Until this king's power is fully restored, I'll temporarily stay here."

"Consider it... the price for you using this king's name without permission."

———

Noah felt like something was wrong with her body.

The recent surge in appetite could be explained as "growing up" or "increased training load."

But as the days went on, Noah noticed that she always felt extremely tired when she woke up in the morning.

This had never happened before, not even during the period of most intense training. Back then, Noah would wake up full of energy and drive every day—

Never doubt a study-overlord's recovery ability. Being a top achiever requires a good physical foundation.
