Chapter 62
We left the deserted bar and began asking around for Trish in the city. Finn asked almost every random merchant, sailor, and shady alley-dweller where we could find "Black Trish." They all turned pale and ran away upon hearing the name, leaving behind whatever they were doing. One woman almost dropped her child on the ground, and another man shrieked and dove into a barrel of apples, refusing to come out.
I was already impressed with this woman whose name was enough to reduce people to tears.
I followed Finn closely, dragging Torrent and Cappy behind me. They had knocked each other out after their ill-fated brawl on the clouds in the bar. Torrent had hit a frying pan on Cappy's head right as he had been slammed into a concrete wall. They had both slumped to the ground at the same time. Talk about perfect timing.
"Why did you bother to drag them along when we'd already planned on ditching these idiots?" Finn asked, eyeing the two with mild annoyance.
