Chapter 61
We kept walking through the psychotic, boiling mess of a city that was Port Black. The streets were bulging with piles of garbage in every corner and stinking carcasses of animals that had never been removed. The houses were crooked and cracked in every way imaginable, and I couldn't imagine people actually living in a place like this. The stink of seawater and gunpowder clung to everything.
In the distance, the sound of screams never seemed to stop. Every few steps, we'd find a drunk wielding some sort of weapon or passed out in the middle of the road with people walking over him. I even saw a monkey run past us carrying a dagger while a bulging woman with a kitchen knife chased after it. Somewhere nearby, glass shattered, and someone cheered.
This place was a nightmare.
