"Although three-on-one might seem like bullying… you're going to die here today, Rocks. So why not give us a proper fight before the end?"
Roger pulled out Ace, the Supreme Grade sword at his waist, his fingers tightening around the hilt as a smile curled at the corners of his lips.
He had no intention of fighting Rocks one-on-one.
Roger wasn't a fool—he had long grasped the terrifying power that Rocks D. Xebec possessed.
As the captain of the Rocks Pirates, Rocks wasn't merely strong—he was monstrous. His strength, Conqueror's Haki, swordsmanship, and physical prowess were all sharpened to terrifying extremes.
In a one-on-one battle, Roger knew he'd be crushed.
But if he fought alongside Rayleigh and Jabba—his two most trusted crewmates—then their combined might, their unbreakable bond, and the synergy honed through countless life-or-death battles...
Yes, they had a shot.
"It's our honor to battle the strongest man this sea has ever known," Jabba grinned, lifting his massive twin axes, excitement radiating off him despite the crushing aura coming from Rocks.
He felt that suffocating pressure—an emperor's Haki if ever there was one.
But he wasn't fighting Rocks alone. They were in this together.
"This is your final battle, Rocks!" Rayleigh said coldly, unsheathing his sword as his Haoshoku Haki surged out like a crashing wave.
Today, someone would fall.
And from Rayleigh's point of view, there was no doubt about the outcome.
Rocks D. Xebec would die here—today.
"Hahaha… You three little brats dare talk big in front of me?" Rocks sneered, laughing darkly. "Just the three of you? You're not qualified. Bring out your whole damn crew if you want a chance!"
His voice rumbled like thunder through the ruined valley.
Rocks stood tall, not even the slightest flicker of fear on his face.
Excitement burned in his eyes.
This man who had crushed Admiral-level Marines, toppled kingdoms, and gathered monsters under his banner—he didn't fear the world.
He was the world.
He was the name whispered with awe and terror—Rocks D. Xebec, captain of the most feared pirate crew in history.
And Roger?
Roger was nothing more than a name on his list.
"Captain Rocks, kill them all!"
"Captain Rocks is the strongest man in the world! The Roger Pirates don't stand a chance!"
"ROCKS! ROCKS! ROCKS!!!"
The bloodthirsty roars of the Rocks Pirates echoed from the mountainside and shattered towers, their faith in their captain unshaken.
To them, he was a god among men.
Their rallying cries surged like waves, each shout boosting Rocks' already monstrous presence.
Watching from above, the Golden Lion folded his arms across his chest, smirking.
"This your final declaration before death, Rocks?" he murmured under his breath, golden hair whipping in the wind. "So you do understand… you won't be leaving this place alive."
Golden Lion Shiki knew exactly how strong Rocks was.
But so were Roger, Rayleigh, and Jabba. Each one a nightmare in their own right. Together?
They were a force that could even topple an emperor.
If the rest of Roger's crew entered the fight, not even the Rocks Pirates could guarantee survival.
And right now?
Rocks wasn't even at his peak.
His stamina had been drained significantly from slaying Marine Marshal Deros earlier. Though he'd emerged victorious, he'd taken damage—and it showed.
Declaring war on the entire Roger Pirates now was reckless, maybe even suicidal.
"Fighting the entire Roger crew solo? That's your idea of bravery, Captain?" Ayr's gaze pierced into the battlefield, his fists clenched.
He had sworn loyalty to Rocks.
And up until now, he'd fought with everything he had.
But even he couldn't deny what was unfolding. It wasn't the battle he envisioned.
It was a blood-soaked farewell.
"Just the three of us for now, Rocks," Roger said, his voice steady. "Let's see what you've got left."
With those words, Roger, Rayleigh, and Jabba leapt forward in unison, their weapons drawn, Haki blazing like stars crashing toward the earth.
Roger wasn't ready to throw the full force of his crew into this yet.
He needed to test the depth of Rocks' current strength.
To measure the god before they aimed to slay him.
"COME THEN!!! I'LL SHOW YOU BASTARDS THE MEANING OF POWER!!!"
Rocks let out a furious roar, raising his blade. His Haoshoku Haki exploded outward, cracking the ground, ripping trees from their roots, and sending shockwaves through the valley.
"BOOOOOOM!!!"
A deafening crash erupted as the four clashed, the shockwave ripping apart what was left of the Valley of the Gods.
Black smoke and dust spiraled into the heavens. The ground trembled as if the gods themselves were at war.
This was not a battle—it was a calamity.
Despite his injuries, despite his drained stamina, Rocks D. Xebec remained the strongest man alive.
His swordsmanship was peerless—far sharper than even Roger's—and his Haki, especially his Armament and Conqueror's, was on a level of its own.
Even a man like Roger couldn't best him one-on-one.
But this wasn't a duel.
Roger, Rayleigh, and Jabba attacked in perfect sync. Each movement, each strike, each shift in rhythm was coordinated without a single word.
They moved as one.
Still, even with this flawless cooperation…
Rocks held his own.
If he were at full power, even these three legends might have found themselves crushed.
But after the battle with Deros, Rocks had burned through much of his strength. His breathing was faintly uneven. Blood from the earlier fight still clung to his side.
And for the first time…
He showed a slight disadvantage.
Still, victory wouldn't come easy. Not for Roger. Not for anyone.
"CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!"
Sparks flew in every direction as steel clashed with steel.
Rocks' blade intercepted every strike. When Jabba tried to break through, Rocks countered. When Rayleigh tried to flank, Rocks forced him back. And when Roger came in with a burst of Haoshoku, Rocks met it with his own, forcing a split in the sky itself.
The heavens screamed. The clouds parted.
Like the battle that would one day be fought between Kaido and Luffy, or Shanks and Blackbeard—this was a clash that defined eras.
In the moment, Rocks seemed less like a man and more like a god of war.
Even surrounded, even slightly wounded, his presence overwhelmed the battlefield.
He dominated the air.
"Unbelievable…" Roger muttered, sweat beading on his brow. "Even when exhausted, he's this strong."
"We can't get careless for even a second," Rayleigh growled, pushing off the ground to deflect a devastating strike.
Rocks' pressure was immense.
Like Madara Uchiha facing down the Allied Shinobi Forces, Rocks stood against legends and didn't budge.
His every movement shook the earth.
"Rocks might be strong," Jabba said, panting, "but he's not unbeatable when it's all three of us."
Indeed.
Roger, Rayleigh, and Jabba were the core of the Roger Pirates for a reason.
Their teamwork was unshakable. Their instincts in battle flawless.
And most importantly—they trusted each other with their lives.
From the Grand Line to the New World, they had fought together, survived together, and won together.
Every time.
And this time?
They would win again.
Because the era of Rocks was coming to an end.
