"Roger, team up with me and take down Ayr!" Kong bellowed, his voice echoing across the battlefield like a thunderclap.

Although Kong held a slight upper hand in his ongoing clash with Ayr, the latter's terrifyingly resilient Sage Body and Rinnegan-infused fairy eyes gave him a monstrous advantage. No matter how much force Kong applied, Ayr's vitality and durability made it near-impossible to finish him swiftly.

But if Gol D. Roger joined the fray—if his legendary strength, rivaling even Whitebeard's, were added to Kong's—it would change everything.

"Two against one. That's how we win," Kong thought grimly.

Yet Roger simply shook his head, expression calm beneath the brim of his straw-decorated hat.

"Kong, I agreed to fight alongside the Marines for this war—but I'll never follow Marine orders," Roger said coolly.

He cast a sharp glance toward Ayr. "Besides... I'm curious to see how far Ayr's come. I've heard the whispers—the Sage Body of a god, a blade named Demon Slayer, and the eyes of prophecy. He deserves to be challenged one-on-one."

Roger wasn't the kind of pirate to ambush a worthy opponent. He had his own pride.

And besides... his true reason for joining this war had never been Ayr.

It was Rocks D. Xebec.

Roger had long disdained any alliance with the World Government. But Rocks... Rocks was a different beast. As long as Rocks lived, there could never be an age of freedom. Not for Roger. Not for anyone.

Even worse, Roger knew—Rocks already saw the Roger Pirates as mortal enemies. If he wasn't stopped here at the Valley of the Gods, Roger's dream of the Grand Line would be shattered before it could begin.

Kong's frown deepened. His heart sank at Roger's response.

The entire Marine force was already in tatters. Admiral Zephyr had been sidelined by injury, and Fleet Admiral Brownie—cut down brutally by Rocks himself. Morale was crumbling.

Roger, Rayleigh, and Jabba weren't just powerful—they were apex predators of the sea. If they turned coat and joined Rocks…

The Marines would be slaughtered to the last man.

"Our goal is only Rocks," Roger said firmly, eyes glinting with resolve.

Kong stared at him, still uneasy.

Rayleigh stepped forward, his voice like a calm tide. "Ayr isn't our enemy today, Kong. Don't expect us to fight your battles."

The statement stung, but at least it gave clarity.

Kong exhaled heavily. "Fine. Then Rocks is yours."

At least one major threat would be handled.

If Roger and his top officers truly focused on bringing down Rocks, that could tip the balance—even without Marine orders.

Still, Kong's instincts screamed caution.

"But if you dare betray us," he growled, "don't blame us for striking you down."

Jabba snorted in amusement. "Kong, you're hardly in a position to threaten us."

His eyes swept across the bloodstained battlefield. "You've lost your Fleet Admiral. Your Vice Admiral is down. And your men? Barely holding together."

It was true. While Rocks' regular forces had been devastated, his core officers—Kaido, Whitebeard, Big Mom, Golden Lion, and even Ayr—remained standing.

On the other hand, Marine command was in shambles. And right now, Roger's crew had the power to tip the war in either direction.

Rayleigh's gaze flicked back to Kong. "You'd better worry more about surviving Ayr than scolding us."

Kong clenched his fists, fury bubbling beneath the surface.

But deep down... he knew they were right.

If Roger's group decided to turn, there'd be nothing left of the Marine presence here.

Luckily, despite his rebellious spirit, Roger was a man of honor. And his hatred for Rocks ran deeper than any pirate's grudge.

"Let the Rocks pirates be destroyed today," Kong thought, allowing himself a sliver of hope.

Just then, a booming voice rang out.

"ROGER!"

Garp stepped forward, fists crackling with Haki, the ground fracturing beneath his boots.

"Hahaha… Long time no see, Garp," Roger called back, a nostalgic grin tugging at his lips. "Still as energetic as ever, I see."

Their clashes over the years had become legendary. Garp, the "Fist of Justice," had been like an unshakable shadow, endlessly pursuing Roger across the seas.

"I'll say this only once," Garp said, his expression stony. "This alliance between us is temporary. After this battle—once Rocks is gone—I'll arrest you myself!"

Rayleigh unsheathed his blade with a cold smile. "If you're going to arrest us, why wait? Let's settle it here."

Garp's gaze sharpened.

Jabba stepped forward, hefting his massive twin axes. "We're ready now, Garp. If you want a fight, say the word."

The tension spiked. Sparks of Conqueror's Haki cracked the air.

Kong's eyes widened in panic. "Stop it! Don't forget—we're supposed to be allies!"

The last thing he needed was a civil war on the battlefield.

If Roger's crew turned on the Marines now, there would be no surviving the aftermath.

Roger raised a hand. The crackling aura faded.

"You don't need to remind us, Kong," he said softly, eyes now locked on the battlefield. "We haven't forgotten who we're here for."

His gaze settled on a distant figure—Rocks, standing atop a pile of corpses, blade in one hand, Conqueror's Haki radiating like a storm.

It was time.

The King of the Pirates had entered the battle.

And the world would never be the same.
