BOOM! BOOM!

The sky darkened as thick storm clouds gathered overhead, swallowing the sun's rays and casting an ominous shadow over the island. The once-bright landscape was now cloaked in darkness, setting the perfect stage for the impending battle.

At the heart of the island, two figures stood facing each other—Ayr and Rocks D. Xebec.

Rocks placed his hands behind his back, his piercing gaze locked onto Ayr. "Are you ready? I won't be holding back." His voice carried a quiet but overwhelming intensity.

Ayr met his gaze without hesitation. "Of course."

Rocks wasn't concerned about the three billion Baileys, the eight Devil Fruits, or even the rare Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit being used as the prize for this battle. Originally, he had planned to give them away to any member of his crew who retrieved the Poneglyph.

However, upon learning that Ayr was the one who had accomplished the task, he decided to change the rules.

Rocks had been meaning to test Ayr's strength for some time now but never had the right opportunity. This battle was a perfect excuse—he wanted to force Ayr to reveal all his cards!

Ayr smirked. Over the years, he had sharpened his Conqueror's Haki, pushing it to the Advanced Stage. He had also mastered Kurama Mode, and just yesterday, he had unlocked the power of Three-Tails, Four-Tails, and Five-Tails Chakra.

With his strength at an all-time high, he was confident that even against Rocks, he stood a fighting chance.

"SHING!!!"

Without warning, Rocks unsheathed his Supreme Grade Sword, and an oppressive aura surged around him. The sheer force of his presence sent tremors through the ground, making the weaker crew members instinctively step back.

Golden Lion Shiki chuckled as he watched the scene unfold. "Jihahahaha! It's been a while since we've seen Captain Rocks fight seriously." He folded his arms, anticipation gleaming in his eyes.

Ever since the God Valley Incident, Rocks had rarely needed to fight. The Marines had focused their efforts on hunting down his subordinates rather than challenging him directly. As a result, very few people had witnessed the true extent of Rocks' power.

"He's got guts, I'll give him that." Ochoku scoffed, shaking his head. "But challenging Captain Rocks? He must have a death wish."

"Heh, just getting permission to fight Rocks doesn't mean he'll actually survive this match." Silver Axe smirked.

"A fool's fate is sealed before the battle even starts." John sneered.

However, Charlotte Linlin watched with an amused smile. "Mamamama... You three don't seem to have much faith in Ayr."

Silver Axe raised an eyebrow. "And what, Linlin? You think he actually has a chance?"

"Of course."

Whitebeard crossed his arms, laughing. "Gurarara… Keep in mind, this fight isn't about winning. Ayr only has to prove himself to Rocks to claim his reward. That's an entirely different challenge."

John scoffed. "Tch. There's no way Rocks will acknowledge him."

Golden Lion exhaled a puff of smoke. "Want to make a bet on that? 300 million Baileys."

John's eyes narrowed. "You're serious?"

"If Ayr wins Rocks' recognition, you owe me 300 million Baileys. If he loses, I'll pay you instead."

John grinned. "You're on!"

"I'll join too." Whitebeard smirked.

"Mamamama! Count me in as well." Charlotte Linlin laughed.

John turned to Silver Axe and Ochoku. "You two coming in, or are you scared?"

Silver Axe frowned, remembering the time Ayr had defeated him. "I'll pass."

Ochoku simply shook his head. "I don't gamble on uncertain things."

John snorted. "Cowards." He turned back to Shiki and the others. "Alright, then! 900 million Baileys are on the line."

Golden Lion chuckled. "Let's see if you'll regret this, John."

The Battle Begins

On the battlefield, Rocks gripped his sword tightly. His lips curled into a smirk.

"Come at me, Ayr."

SWOOSH!

In an instant, Rocks swung his sword.

A deafening boom rang out as his blade sliced through the air, releasing a devastating shockwave of sword energy. The force tore through the ground like a tsunami, creating massive fissures in the terrain as it sped toward Ayr.

The sheer intensity of the attack sent chills down the spines of everyone watching.

Golden Lion's grin widened. "Jihahaha! That's Captain Rocks for you!"

Ayr's pupils dilated as he felt the crushing pressure of the incoming sword energy. His instincts screamed at him—this attack could kill him instantly!

But he refused to back down.

Taking a deep breath, he tightened his grip on his Great Grade Sword, Demon Slayer, and slashed forward with both hands.

"SHING!!!"

Ayr's sword strike unleashed a crescent-shaped slash infused with his Conqueror's Haki and Tailed Beast Chakra. The energy roared like a beast as it shot forward to meet Rocks' attack.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The two attacks collided at the center of the battlefield, sending shockwaves rippling across the island. A deafening explosion erupted, and a massive cloud of dust and smoke swallowed the entire area.

For a moment, there was only silence.

Then—

SWOOSH!

Out of the smoke, Rocks' attack emerged victorious. Ayr's slash had been completely overpowered!

The remaining sword energy from Rocks' attack surged toward Ayr, leaving him no time to react.

His mind raced. His power is far greater than I expected!

Summoning all his strength, Ayr instinctively unleashed another sword slash, this time using Five-Tails' Chakra Cloak to enhance his speed and reflexes.

"CLASH!!!"

His second attack barely managed to neutralize the remnants of Rocks' sword energy, but the impact still sent him skidding backward, digging trenches into the earth beneath his feet.

The battlefield fell into silence again.

Whitebeard, Golden Lion, and Charlotte Linlin watched closely. They could see it—Ayr wasn't defeated yet. He was still standing!

Shiki smirked. "Jihahaha… He's not down yet, huh? This might be more interesting than I thought."

Rocks twirled his sword, his expression unreadable. Then, he grinned.

"Not bad, Ayr. But let's see how long you can keep up."

Ayr exhaled sharply, tightening his grip on his sword. His blood boiled with excitement.

This battle had only just begun.
