DERRICK'S POV
I couldn't stop staring at Nathan.
Felix's words kept replaying in my head: "He suddenly got his wolf back… and then he healed you."
Nathan… had his wolf? Nathan?
I never thought that I would wake up to this news. It was splendid that he got his wolf back.
My heart was pounding hard in my chest. I didn't know what to feel first—shock, excitement, or… well… everything else that came with realizing my mate wasn't just human anymore. He was more than that.
Not like not having his wolf made him less in any way. He was still enough, even without it. Except now, the addition made it quite a phenomenon.
I looked at him again, sitting there beside my bed, biting his bottom lip like he wasn't sure what to do with himself. His cheeks were slightly flushed, and I couldn't lie… I found it cute.
Nathan was really cute.
