"------"
Olivia was shocked that she could not move briefly; she did not know how to respond, or perhaps she did not fully understand even after seeing the Chronicle gleaming in Nyxir's hand.
"You ....you can copy people's power?" She stuttered with widened eyes.
"I doubt it was really as simple as it seems but I seem to be able to replicate your aspect. " Nyxir smiled even more brightly as he stared expectantly at Olivia.
" What is the difference? " Olivia's brow furrowed as she eyed Nyxir.
"I was able to replicate a Chronicle because it's the first soul weapon I touched, which means it could have been the same for any other weapon, or maybe not, because I did not get any information or knowledge, not even on spell casting," Nyxir explained with a serious expression.
He did not know if he could repeatedly replicate all powers, as he did not have any clue about his aspect, but even so, he decided to tell Olivia this piece so she would not be caught off guard if she was questioned later, because he needed her to keep the secret. Moreover, he needed her to teach him, and it is not a polite thing to ask others for their power, even if she's your sister.
" My magical power revolves around telekinesis and I can somehow imbue a little sentience to objects to do something. Maybe I will be a mage who excels in life creation and telekinesis. " Olivia smiled brightly.
Angel aspects diviners are known as casters or mages because their power involves spell casting, and there are various types of mages. The elemental mage excels in the usage of natural elements, while a telekinesis mage excels in the use of telekinesis. Being a life creation mage is a rare ability, it is the ability to give sentience to inanimate objects to be able to react and act as if they were alive, and all of these are dependent on their level of magical power, which centers on their spirituality.
"Life creation mage? That's good"
"Yeah but I can only do the elementary form which is to avoid impact for now, I think I will need to improve to be able to do any better" Olivia stretched out her hand and a white burst of light emerged from her palm like a giant lotus which opened to reveal a big green book.
"I can show you my weave and try to explain how I did it, but it still requires your aspect to understand how it's being done."
Having a chronicle did not mean having all the magical power, for example, a mage of telekinesis cannot dream of manipulating the elements even with the weave in hand due to the nature of his magical power and Spirituality.
" I will try to learn it and see if I can use it, but don't tell anyone about my aspect as it might cause me a whole lot of trouble. " Nyxir looked intently at Olivia.
Olivia raised her left palm, which holds the green chronicle at her front, and raised her right hand, twisting her wrist while simultaneously twisting her index and middle finger into a crisscross pattern. A slight gale blows around her, and white streams of light spurt from her index and middle fingers, weaving into a crisscross pattern at a very fast speed and at the same time twisting in an elegant arc along with her wrist rotation. It wove into intricate symbols and gradually fuses inside a blank page in the book emitting a bright radiance before dissipating like nothing was there.
All of these took some time to explain, but it happened in just three breaths because it cannot be dragged further than that, which could cause the spirituality threads to weaken and might sometimes snap, which means a complete failure, and it had to be done again.
Nyxir had to stare intently at her display, the rotation of her hand, fingers, and even the subtle movement of her arm.
This was all gained by Olivia overnight because she acquired the knowledge of her magical power which is the reason her movement is as fluid as it was.
"Did you get it?" Olivia raised her right brow as she questioned Nyxir.
"I think I do and I will try it tonight." Nyxir nodded slightly and continued towards the dining room.
'The essence of the spell is spirituality, I can only weave a spell by forming a spiritual thread, what's more, I have to understand their symbols to be able to craft it. '
Nyxir opened the door to the dining room and saw old Lu seated on a chair, staring at him with the usual dissatisfied expression.
"Old Lu," Nyxir nodded slightly as he sat by the side, and old Lu slightly grunted in response.
Dinner was served in no time and everyone started digging into their boiled yam and stew. Perhaps it was Olivia's spell but Nyxir felt the food tasted more delicious than usual.
"What do you plan on doing tomorrow?" Nyxir asked Olivia after wiping his mouth clean with a napkin. Old Lu, who was still scraping at the crumbs, also faced Olivia, curious to know her answer as well.
" I will just join an organization that will accept my requests, there is no need to panic, " Olivia smiled brightly.
" What are your requests? " Old Lu cleared his throat and asked further.
" Hmmm.... Let's see.. "
"You will know when it is agreed upon" she quipped and removed the trays from the table, picking up the plates as well to wash.
"Don't waste your chance to enroll in a school, that would be the best thing to do for us." Old Lu replied behind her.
"What are you going to do as well?" Old Lu looked at Nyxir.
" Just try to understand my aspect, I think," Nyxir shook his head.
" Not being proud, but I don't think any organization will come for me, so I might as well master my little aspect."
Nyxir sat on the bed and faced the window. After his conversation with old Lu, he knew he would eventually have to join an organization to accrue resources and for protection.
There are five big organizations in Auren hold, and joining one means you're recognized with them; without an organization to back you up, means you are a rogue diviner, and there are various hardships that rogue diviners face.
I will only display an aspect that will be my primary one to avoid scrutiny from people. '
"Time to weave"
Nyxir sensed his Spirituality which has been dormant since his reincarnation. He knew his spiritual power was high due to his high perception.
He came into his room after he chatted with old Lu for a while and stood beside his bed with his eyes closed in a meditative manner.
He felt his mind adrift and ethereal streams of silvery lights appeared in his vision, his index and middle finger crisscrossed to draw in the silvery glow and turn it into a thin stream of silvery lights twisting and turning until it eventually formed a resplendent symbol.
He lowered his hand towards the golden book on his left palm which lights up as soon as the symbol touches its page before slowly disappearing from view.
Nyxir looked down at the blank page with a perplexed expression. He had thought the reason he was not able to see Olivia's spell was because it was another person's Chronicle, but even his own weaved spell was gone.
"Did it fail?" He furrowed his brow and fiddled with the small golden book.
"One thing for sure is I got everything right. What did I do wrong?" Even though Olivia had weaved her spell so fast to avoid failure, Nyxir's spiritual power is high enough to capture every single detail with clarity in time and store it in his memory. That is another advantage of the angel's aspect; it improves your intelligence beyond that of ordinary diviners.
"Hmmm? Even though I could not see the weave, I still felt the presence of a spell, and I strangely had an inclination about its function. " Nyxir paused and examined his Chronicle before injecting his spirituality into the weave.
He felt his Spirituality traced a pattern in the book and then a gentle burst of energy rippled outward.
"What?" Nyxir looked at the floating room and his expression turned ashen.
"I can't believe I got tricked by Olivia"
