Chapter 118 - The Baited File

Our character goes to his father's side.

****: Dad, I solved the problem. It should yield results in a few days.

John: Really? Is it that simple?

****: Yes, I really solved it. If you want, everything can be solved this easily.

John: Thank you, son. I'm proud of you.

****: Thanks, Dad.

(Most men dream of their fathers being proud of them; the feeling of achieving that is truly amazing.)

Our character heads to his room.

(I have one more task to complete, something that will free me from the boredom of daily life.)

(Although it might not be a very fun task, maybe I can have a little fun.)

(The task is to install a keylogger on my new teacher, Mr. Philip's, computer. You can think of it as a simple test because I got the impression he wasn't very knowledgeable about these topics during today's lesson. I want to see if he really has no clue about this stuff, or if he's secretly a hacker who knows a lot about it.)

(All the answers will be revealed.)

Our character starts writing the keylogger.

[39 minutes later]

(Yes, the keylogger is finished. Now I just need to package it into a file and send it to the teacher.)

(I'll send it to him as an assignment, asking if I succeeded in what he demonstrated in class today. Let's see if he'll download this file directly or check it first.)

(If he's really made it this far, he'll definitely check it first through some means.)

Our character prepares the assignment-looking file.

(Only mixing these files is left; that's a simple task that can be handled.)

Our character mixes the two files together.

(Everything is ready, so I can contact the teacher.)

Our character sends a message to the teacher via WhatsApp.

Message: Hello, teacher. I wanted to revisit what I listened to in class today. It's a bit long, but I think I've done something fun. You can see my assignment in the attached file. I look forward to your comments on it. Thank you in advance.

(I hope it's an impressive message. As always, all I can do now is wait.)

(In the meantime, I need to settle another matter with Leonardo Moretti.)

(I'm curious about why the two people who didn't show up last time are absent and if they will come today.)

Our character sends an email to Leonardo Moretti.

Email: Leonardo, I have a question. I didn't get the chance to meet the other two members of the group at the last meeting. Will I have the opportunity to meet them now?

[2-3 minutes later]

Leonardo Moretti replies to our character with an email.

Email: Yes, they will be there tomorrow. Don't worry.

Our character writes a reply to Leonardo Moretti.

Email: Alright then, I'm excited to meet them.

(I hope they are good and hardworking people so we can work together.)
