Chapter 53 - I am the one who will 'Remain'

Chapter 53

Serak just shakes his head, and says;

"This is not something you can break, even if you are ten times more powerful, you still wouldn't be able to 'Break Nothingness', because i also upgraded it, and now it's impossible for anyone else but myself to touch it. Of course, you can still try it."

Ark looks at him and with calm steps closes in on him, when he is close enough, he starts to gather his aura, and the air around him starts to distort and bend, like the space around is made of water, then Ark raises his right hand and from the space next to him, he starts to pull a white like milk sword, that is unblemished, is like the sword is made of clouds and the very air around it, turns more clean and fresh.

Ark slashes the air in front of him, then he raises the sword in front of his face and says:

"Hi, 'Whitey', it's been a long time. We will catch up later, now we have a little work to do."

Serak looks at the sword and feels like he knows it, it's like he heard stories about a snow-white sword, that wreaked havoc all the way to the end of the known Dimensions. But he can't seem to remember exactly the details or what is with this sword or who wielded it.

But before he manages to remember more, he hears Ark saying;

"You should prepare yourself, because i don't know if you or your sword will survive this."

After, Ark just slashes in front of him and a white snow like energy wave forms, and it goes towards Serak, if you would look from the sides and see the energy wave, you would see a harmless white like clouds energy, giving off the impression that if it hit you, it would not hurt you, on the contrary it would maybe help you feel refreshed. But that couldn't be more off from the truth, when Serak sees the approaching energy slash, he feels like his blood freezes in his veins and his senses screams at him to not let this energy wave even touch him.

But he also is a Master Swordsman, he calmy puts his sword in front of him and he flares his aura, then from his sword a shield of Nothingness forms, that it erases even the very air that touches the shield, the wave seems slow, but in the next moment it already hits the shield, that for a moment doesn't seem to affect it at all.

But slowly is like the white snow energy wave starts to eat the shield, is like the Nothingness is eaten, and in a moment the shield is broken, and the wave continues towards him with the same intensity. Serak for the first time is flustered, and shocked at how easily his Nothingness was broken, he is hit by the wave and sent flying for a few miles, then he makes a flip in the air and sinks his sword in the Earth to stop his momentum, he still slides for a few tens of meters before he stops, leaving a chasm of Nothingness in the Earth.

When he gets up, on his chest a wound appears, that it runs from his right shoulder all the way to his belly, and blood flows like a waterfall, his chest bones and some of his organs visible, the only reason why he wasn't cut through completely is because he used his sword to hit the energy wave in the last second and he used the momentum of the strike to fly back, and that is what saved him.

Serak looks down at his wound and he says;

"The last time i was so injured was when i fought the leaders of the Celestials, they were the only ones who managed to hurt my body. But even them, were not able to injure me so easily. That is also a really powerful sword."

After he finishes talking, his injury also completely closes, his healing not losing to Ark's. He says again;

"I think i remember your sword now, is it called 'The White Conqueror'? The sword that has the power of 'Conquering' even the most of extreme powers and the very Void of Nothingness, the Sword that could fight even against the... 'Old One's' Staff. The sword that killed Anora Era, the 'Lossless One'."

Ark smiles and says;

"Yeah, i had quite a few adventures with 'Whitey'. And yeah my sword has the power to 'Conquer' even the Nothing."

"I can fight with any kind of powers, even if it's the powers of absorbing, or eating, even against time, or power of Death. Because i can 'Conquer' every kind of powers."

"So, your power of Nothingness, will be 'Conquered' by me and 'Broken'.

Serak, in a long time, he feels something that he thought he lost. He feels the excitement of not knowing how a fight will end, he feels the adrenalin of fighting with his life on the line, for the first time in a long, long time, he feels alive.

He feels his beating heart how it screams for him to give it his all, if he wants to live, he feels his senses how it screams at him that this Enemy is not someone he can fight with.

But he knows that this is the fight that will determine what he is made of, if he will manage to change his Destiny, or he will just be a steppingstone. This is the moment that will decide his entire life.

He raises his sword again, but now with a new determination, and more seriously, like his life depends on it. He starts walking slowly and then on his third step he just disappears, like he was never there, he just turned to Nothing.

Ark raises his sword, and he waits with his senses on high alert, he turns his head left and right, but there is no sign of Serak.

Then Ark feels something, a small ripple in the fabric of space, like something is coming from all around him, but from nowhere at the same time. He thinks, 'This is the kind of fighter that i hate the most, the ones that hide, and have a really suitable power for it. I guess this is going to take a while.'

After almost an entire minute he still doesn't manage to find Serak, how do you manage to find 'Nothing', how do you manage to look for 'Nothing', the only way would be if someone could see the 'Future', then he would have a change to fight. He would know where the strike would come from, so even if 'Nothingness' strikes from 'Nowhere', Ark would still be able to block it. Ark thinks to himself, 'Oohh but wait, i can do that easily'.

Serak sees Ark's evil smile and he knows something is wrong, he also tries to take Ark by surprise, but he doesn't manage to find any opening, so the only way is to make an opening himself.

So he starts to make his plan of attack.

Ark watches his surroundings on high alert. But all of a sudden a strike comes directly from above him, from his blind spot. But before Serak manages to do anything else, he sees Ark turning to smoke, he only hit his afterimage, Serak thinks, 'He played me, he knew where i was all this time.'

Then he also feels something wrong behind him, but before he manages to turn, he feels pain coming from his back.

After seeing the future from where Serak would strike, Ark just teleported behind him, the timing perfect, Serak still in the motion of retreating his hand after the strike, Ark smiles and he doesn't use his sword. He does a few spins horizontally and then uses his leg like a whip, hitting Serak's back with so much force that, his body makes a bridge form, but in the wrong side, his body bent backwards so bad, that his legs almost touches his head, then he is sent towards the earth like a rocket.

Serak almost passes out only from the strike, he can't form even one coherent thought before he hits the surface. His body making a crater big enough that the Earth's moon would fit inside. Then Ark thinks if he should make the Ashan kick thing, where he hit his body while flying downward like a spike, he thinks for a few seconds, but in the end doesn't do it. He still lets the last 'Akashic' survivor, see another day.

In the crater Serak looks like a pretzel, almost every bone in his body broken, his blood flowing like a spring from every part of his body. But even with these terrible injuries, he still didn't let go of his sword. He tries to gather his aura, when he manages to overcome his pain a little bit, but his body so broken that not even one bit can remain inside.

He tries a few times, but with every try only failure comes. Then he sees Ark flying towards him, landing next to his broken body. Then he sees how he bends and picks up 'Nothingness' from his broken mess of a hand and looks at it like at a masterpiece. 'Nothingness' not doing any damage to his hand, not even a scratch. Serak thinks,

'This hurts more than even all of my injuries combined. How can he hold 'Nothingness' so easily?'
