Wakizashi stepped out of the police vehicle, looking up at the school where the sun started to set behind it, casting a long shadow over her. She said nothing to Tanaka as she headed for the doors, seeing that only one window was lit up, a silhouette standing in it. She saw it move away, continuing on until she reached the entrance. When she tried the handle, though, it was locked. Sighing, she stepped back, then kicked the doors open with a hefty slam.
Stepping inside, Wakizashi looked around. No students would be inside at the time, since it was already four in the afternoon. The only ones inside were the people she was there to kill. Looking up to the camera, she pulled up the mask over her nose and mouth. She pulled out her two blades, squeezing them tight as she started towards the stairs.
That's when the intercom kicked in, sounding like static before a loud screech of a microphone kicking in. "Hello, Wakizashi," A male voice said – Vin. "How nice to see you again…" She refused to stop, continuing on up the stairs. "How did you like our little display at the hospital? I am sure you're curious if your friend survived or not." A light chuckle. "I'm here to say there was no way she could have."
Wakizashi paused for a mere moment as she reached the second floor. She grimaced, finding it hard to go on. "Do you wanna know how we did it?" The voice rang in her ears. "I'll tell you anyway," He had a mocking tone. "We placed it as a flower bouquet on her chest while she was transferred. See, there was no way she could have lived, because she was the bomb."
Yuriko growled, and then she went flying down the hall, running as fast as she could to Room 301. A sharp laughter sounded from the speakers. "She won't be recognisable. Just like your grandfather!" A burst of anger compelled her to take the turn a little bit faster. "I wonder… Will they find anything left, even?"
Finally, Wakizashi made it to the door, and she didn't even slide it open. Instead, she did a flying kick right at it, and it toppled to the ground completely with her landing on top of it in a crouch. She glanced up as a familiar white haired, dark skinned woman dressed in the same clothes – without the mask – slammed down a katana from above. Wakizashi crossed her swords over her head, blocking the attack and pushing the blade away. Flower stumbled back as Wakizashi stood up, rushing forward.
Slashes and stabs were exchanged between the two, both frantic in their fighting, Wakizashi having lost all serenity in her style. Flower was grinning the whole time, blocking and dodging until her back was against the windows. Wakizashi was about to hack at her before Flower ducked and came back up, switching hands with the katana as she lashed out and slapped her across the face. Wakizashi stumbled back, holding her cheek, before Flower smirked.
"Aren't you a weak little sapling?" She mused. "Too weak to save anyone… Now too weak to defend yourself!"
Flower lashed out again, and then Wakizashi was on the defensive. She was pushed backwards, forced out past the broken door and into the hall. Wakizashi tried to put in a parry, kicking where Flower's head was but only succeeding in hitting cold air. Flower slashed at her stomach, but she blocked with the edges of her swords, making it scream with a loud ring. Wakizashi flipped her blades around so the unsharpened edges were against her arms, and cut the edge of Flower's cheekbone. The girl leered back, touching the blood, and chuckled darkly.
"Poor Naomi," She cooed. "She wasn't even awake. Do you know the last thing she even remembered? You, trying to save her life from the bomb at the festival." She shook her head with a tsk. "I guess you failed twice that night."
Wakizashi panted, then ran forward with a furious yell of rage. She crashed swords against hers, struggling in a fight of strength. Flower simply laughed horridly, grinning like a mad woman as she stood there trembling with wide eyes. Wakizashi found anger climbing into her chest, and she twisted her blades until they were wrapped behind the handle of the katana, and pulled back until her swords cut into the fingers of Flower. She cried out, pulling away and being forced to drop the sabre. Wakizashi kicked it back behind her, eyes flaring as Flower watched the blood drop from her cut fingers, only to look up with a smile.
"Your grandfather was awake when I laid the bomb," She smirked. "He didn't suspect me for a second. I guess reading minds doesn't run in the family."
With that, Wakizashi rushed forward, swords held aloft to stab her. Alas, something stopped her – a sharp howl and pain in her back. She cried out as she was tossed to the ground, swords thrown from her grasp. Something was digging into her back, like claws, before something even worse latched onto her shoulder. She screamed in agony, struggling under the weight as the monster dragged her to the side. For a moment, she thought she might die from the ravenous animal right then and there.
Yet, it was then that something loud rang through the hall, like a sharp bang that echoed across the walls. She felt the monster jump off, whining and yelping in pain, and she saw a wolf limping towards Flower. Another bang, and Flower flinched as the bullet flew over her head. She grabbed the katana, petting the bloody white wolf.
"C'mon, Vin!" She called, before they both retreated down the hall.
A few more shots were fired, before a click that signified the clip was empty. Wakizashi could hear someone drop down beside her, and she felt hands grab her and roll her over. She squeaked in pain from the movement, holding her shoulder and panting. Looking up, she could see Tanaka holding her, talking into his radio to call in the incident. That was the last she could see before the darkness imprisoned her, and she fell unconscious.
